It's a thai BL with chinese actors... so they can.
To clarify, I mean that compared to the Chinese bls produced in China since 2019 that have been so restricted by censorship that characters can’t even say they like each other; compared to that, this series is positively scandalous. lol I know there will be kiss scenes and possibly one nc scene. This is why I’m so excited for more Chinese bls to be produced in Thailand as it allows them so much more freedom.
Considering that in a Chinese bl they can’t even say they like each other or have any outward appearance that they are in a romantic relationship; this is positively risqué in comparison. 😂
From the production company's instagram:"Our series is a Chinese ancient costume drama adapted from the IP of…
I really hope we get more of this workaround to the Chinese censorship. It would be so amazing to have more Chinese bls with the freedom of non-Chinese producers. This series already has my whole heart and it would make my year if we get more Chinese bls like this. Here’s hoping. 🙏

We should definitely stop glorifying things that are harmful in excess. Like with everything else, alcohol can be part of a healthy lifestyle in moderation.
Can I love HT anymore people!!!! He said, and I repeat, "JX and I are together." Yes! ZD did you hear that. Wow,…
As sweet as the coupling of LiLi and SZZ would be, she just doesn’t like him in that way. It goes like that sometimes.
Usually if they intend for two characters to end up together, either the love interest isn't aware of the other's feelings yet, so we don't know how they will respond to a confession or we see the love interest slowing warm to them/fall for them. LiLi keeps drawing a line. She's aware of his feelings and has yet to warm to them. It's safe to say they won’t end up together. It’s nice if certain characters can end up together in dramas but at the end of the day, the character likes who the character likes.
I am not a drinker, so I may not understand, but why in these business gatherings people force others to drink…
Alcohol reduces people’s inhibitions. This promotes social bonding so it’s used a lot with businesses to ‘seal the deal’ and ‘celebrate their partnership’. It’s also seen as an insult to refuse a drink (especially one poured for you). With friendship/non work gatherings I would say Karaoke is the equivalent. As with everything, people take advantage. I would say the men forcing the women are trying to get them drunk to take advantage of them. Some companies use female staff to serve as eye candy to woo clients. Perhaps these men blur the lines between these company drinks and hostess bars.
So, I watched episode 26. YC has proposed marriage to JX's bestie? Wow, that was a "got over you quick" recovery.…
This is such a funny recap, especially “Girl, bye”. Thanks for the laughs.
I’m not as far along in the episodes as you are but I suspected that HT gave the impression that JX’s company was his plan A but in reality we know he has his hand in other hidden pies. I gather he thinks the best way to beat his cousin is for her focus to be on the ‘decoy’. This is not to say that he is toying with JX’s company. He is serious about her company also, it’s just that he had a plan in motion prior to her getting the idea to start her own company. Essentially, he’s already won the game without his cousin realising as she’s trying to foil plans that are his plan B/backup any way. I may be wrong though. 😅

I see someone has answered you below. On another note, some of the commenters have been saying there’s not been much bts, promo or ongoing info released about the series which is a shame since most viewers like these kinds of things and they help with the visibility of the series.
I think I’m one of the very few here that do not see her as this bad person. I mean, what did she do wrong exactly?…
Oh for sure. My comment was more commenting on how different perspectives cause us to focus on/be ok with/not ok with some things and not others. I find the different ways people form a viewpoint fascinating/interesting so I’m always interested in having a discourse with people with varying viewpoints. I try to look and understand where people are coming from (again because this interests me). I’m not one to shut down a conversation unless it’s getting unproductive.

I also don’t have a problem with viewers with a different perspective to me. For example, I don’t get as irked by ZD. I guess it’s because the framing of the character is not trying to sell us anything apart from who she is being onscreen.
