Tbh I hate the 4 episode rule. Literally the plot of the show always ends after 4 episodes. It happens in all hidden identity dramas. Like I prefer the hidden identity to last longer because it’s more entertaining that way but it really defeats the purpose when all the main people find out so early on. But I get it because of the romance obviously don’t want the teacher falling in love with a student but I mean the didn’t need romance. Anyways I like it so far

Omg I picked this up randomly and our little idiot ha min is so entertaining 😭 he really a dumbass but in an adorable way. This series has been hilarious I can’t wait for the next episode I needed something to fill the void after finishing guardians of dafeng and the comedy aspect is even better. Really looking for ward to this every week!

Well no I agree with you. And I actually started reading it a month before it aired lol it’s actually a really good adaptation it’s just later there are plot point that are essential to the plot basically that I feel like they will have to do drama original because these things will over complicate the story later and I don’t think people could handle it. Lin an character especially has to be rewritten so that other plot points don’t make her insignificant and put other leads before her. Aside from the romance aspect this drama was a great drama adaption the only complaint is how they really did just summarize in episode 40 lol they skipped quite a bit to fit in that last but I understand it could on be 40 eps but hopefully they’ll revisit in a second season to explain better it was quite confusing

It’s because in the novel XQA has a child with Huaqing and not Lin An. So that’s what I mean they have to change the role because it’s not gonna make any sense for people who watch the show unless they make it so that he has a child with Lin am and in the book Lin an doesn’t know he has a child with her sister. It actually ends with her seemingly never knowing but that the child would be the next emperor. Lin a lives with his family AND IS considered to be the primary wife as she is the only one who lives with his family.


This is why I said TXW fans would be upset about this so they have to change it so that it favors Lin an character

That wasn’t really the point. If the conflict of female lead is because of Huaqing. This is why I believe they will change the female lead or swap the roles between the two

This is a novel spoiler about Lin A being the female lead and why I don’t think if they do a second season they will keep the romance portion. Only click it if you wanna know. Because as volumes continue the romance expands, people forget this book is a harem and it’s actually really important to note. They really minimize his relationships with the other girls to establish her as the lead. However as I said up there the reason I don’t believe they could continue the seasons without having to make HIGE CHANGES regarding the romance and relationships with All the women in the show xu Qian has especially because novel readers already didn’t like the other girls being sidelined. They’d have to cut the romance out honestly.


When I tell you that final volume had me like oh shit - 🧍🏽‍♀️like the show makes it seems that Xu Wian is devoted to Lin an only when really complicated thing if they continue keeping her as the only female lead

As someone who just finished reading the book today Lin An as the female lead is the biggest joke and I’m not even saying that to be funny. People forget the book is a harem.

You think Xu Qian loves Lin An oh he does he absolutely does as well as his OTHER WIVES. Mind you Lin An not even considered his primary wife 🧍🏽‍♀️ this is why I highly doubt they will have a second season with romance included (or at all) because fucks anything that walks but they completely took this out of the show.

Xu Qian Is a good husband however but his relationships with the girls become tricky and Lin a character is just apart of his harem.it just seems like they picked whoever amongst his wives and called her the female lead.


The only way I see this working is they cut out the other girls, and swap Huaqing and Lin ans role in the later seasons because this would ultimately piss Tian Wei fans if they knew what the ending was like 🧍🏽‍♀️especially after establishing Lin An as the female lead.

Or it’s possible they will change the female lead depending on the season it honestly would make more sense that way

Aside from relationships however there is a TON OF THINGS not included so truthfully they could continue this retort if they choose to omit the romance part. Because they also have to appease novel fans and novels fans already didn’t like how they ousted the other girls in favor of one.

That’s the misunderstanding here. It’s clear they casted her as the female lead simply because Xu Qi’an ends up with her in the end. However the book IS A HAREM lol she never had that much time to begin with 😭 she has the same amount of appearance as all the girls. It just seems they decided to focus on her more to solidify her character as a main lead. But she isn’t main lead in the book either. she’s a supporting character. There’s times in the book where she is literally non existent lol.
