It's To Bad This Is In A Different Language, And Unfortunately I Can Not Read It. I Would Have Really Liked To…
Mo Dexian is remarkably portrayed by Xiao Zhan as a mechanic and craftsman refugee from Nanjing, who settled in the city of Gezhi (Yichang) after the 1937 massacre to protect his family. Although initially an ordinary man who just wants to survive, he becomes the leader of the local resistance when Japanese soldiers invade their village. The film emphasizes the courage of simple people who fight to defend their homes with improvised tools, such as scythes and hammers. The script, costumes, and sets are fantastic, and the story goes to your heart! A new character masterfully interpreted by Xiao Zhan who once again showed us another side of him as an actor! Like in every film or series... he is the same and yet different and that makes him so valuable that until you see him in the role you cannot anticipate him and what is more beautiful is that all the roles come to him and you say they were created for him! I recommend it!
