the dolls are magic items which allow people in love to swap their bodies. so in the last scene WZ is 7 months pregnant. They swap bodies and she, now in the body of MZY, runs off to go drinking.

the funniest part in this scene is that she under the truth spell and among all that chaos she focused on something so banal. brilliant.

Really liked how they started to throw in flashes of her modern reality early on to signal that she is going to wake up soon. Although I wouldn't mind to see a few more episodes of her trying to make him remember in modern life. But yeah ending was sweet.

I well enjoyed it. Yeah the ending was as expected. Done pretty good.

Well it looks like Tang Dynasty and there was a concept compulsory divorce at the time. like if you petition the government it could granted. Given that she's 2 rank official she could grant her own divorce. But that's just one instance where they didn't need anyone thumb/agreement.

Oh I think she doesn't want the divorce at all but it's a tougher road ahead for ML now.

i can't be sure if this magical world's legal system aligns well with our current legal system or ancient historical variation. buy it was not always the case that they had to add thumbprints to paper (here they didn't do it during their marriage) as far as i recall the second thumbprint was required if they had to divide property not if someone went back to their parents home (like she did). also, in the case of matrilocal husbands it was even easier he was just handed the bag and off he marched. in any case it was a big letter telling him to move on :)

well, you could check my watchlist to see if i watched idol dramas before (i dont know). also, i'm from ireland. does it count as international? china produces hundreds of dramas per year and literally 0 people forcing you to watch them. some dramas i watched had subs in plethora of languages some languages i didn't know existed. in any case i'm sorry i'm completely missing your point what does it have to do with acting standards.
