Cliché after cliché and vastly lack of chemistry...

While we expect shows from Taiwan to be quite nice, this one disappoints. The story is full of clichés, nothing new is told, the lack of chemistry between the couples makes this unbelievable af.

Even when the story tried to eat from the forbidden fruit, it did not make this show in the least interesting. Mostly it was boring and without any charme or emotions. Even the cinematography was not artsy and of course nobody showers with wearing underwar :) When actors are new, maybe Taiwan should also use the practice of an extensive workshop.

The only good things I have to say about this show: A nice title theme and we were spared over-acting comedy and childishness. Overall it was really forgettable. It's not the worst show from Taiwan but the 2nd worst. Better skip it and do something useful with your time.

Entertaining to watch but red flags...

Let me start with all the red flags that show has:
While I get to be pissed off if you are betrayed, there is no reason to get someone raped. The toxic behaviour of Chi Cheng who forced the rape is also disturbing. The elefant in the room is the "hetero to gay" tropé which at least is disrespectful to all gays out in the world and of course complete bullshit. To let Wu Suo Wei be called "aunt" by his bf nephew is also disrespectful and unnecessary.

Because this is a chinese show, they lip-sync everything because there are hundreths of dialects of Mandarin and that causes inconsistencies with fore/background audio and sometimes it felt off. Also I felt the quality of the writing declined and the last episodes fell flat. I'm also not happy that they cut the "top" thing from the book. Chi Cheng let Wei top him to prove his love for him which made it a powerful statement, but we don't get to see that in the finale which was also unusual short.

I can't agree that all the red flags are a reason to rate this show with a 1.0. Compared to "My Stubborn" this was on the mild side in the toxic behaviour. In said show the ML forced his sexual drive on his partner but Chi Cheng at least restrained himself..

The production quality was very good indeed. Of course all the MLs are also eye-candy and their acting was good, but due the lip-syncing some of the acting felt a bit cringe and unnatural (the little nephew of Chi Cheng was horrible for example). The most impressive acting was by a side character Wang Shou played by Liu Jun which really had an impact, but his story felt it does not have a real closure. The same goes with dad & son or if the family did finally embrace Wei. So all in all, it was still entertaining to watch, but storywise this show does not even come close to other chinese BLs like "Stay With Me (2023)", "Blue Canvas of Youthful Days (2024)" and "Secrets Happened on the Litchi Island (2025)".

Childish as fuck and too long...

A typical GMMTV production: Too childish, too long, extremly cheesy lines and not much substance.

There are some serene scenes in it, which make the actors shine, but the overly childish behaviour of most of the cast is just annoying. Maybe the mid 20ties actors should have acted in an elementry school instead of an university. The production quality was of course top notch, because this is one of GMMTV highlight products. They did not skimp in the audio department and the OST was excellent. Too bad there aren't any acapella versions of the songs to listen to.

So, overall, it's a series between annoying and fun, but the drama elements of the story feel forced, the disregard for Faifa by all around him was frustrating and the fantasy elements were done to perfection. The right stuff for all the fangirls, but sadly not for me.

Simply cute & meaningful

People with disabilities are under-represented in the world of the entertainment-industry. Rich kids are overused in many love dramas. But here it was a bit different. The deaf "kid" was not a helpless stereotype and the rich kid is not a shallow one-dimensional character. Both leads did an amazing job in bringing to life the vision of the creators. The side couple is a typical stereotype but not in a bad way.

The only downer for me was the finale, where I thought "really"? Are there no other option of conflict resolution with his cousin? And the conflict with the rich kids father was not solved either. It's nice to have a happy end but I felt a bit underwelmed by the story while all the other episodes were more thought out. I don't think it was necessary to put a GL part in it, but it's ok as it is and the bitchy fiancé was not a typical "bitch" as portraied in so many BLs.

The stand-out of this show is the chemistry of the leads, the training which went into learning sign-language and an overall "sunny" touch on the cinematography. Also most NC scenes had a place and didn't look forced or out of place or just fan service which is typical in especially thai shows.

Overall that was a very enjoyable show with great leads, with dark undertones on a light story. Also to give a minority of a minority a representation is important and meaningful.

Man that dragged forever

A typical turn off your brain GMMTV show with shallow, lazy writing, only one story arc quite interesting and an abundace of overall childish scenes which were not funny at all (and no soundeffect will help it).

Even when a setting is located around students, they should have some more mature attitudes even when some childish elements have it's place, but they overdid them.
So for me it was a very disspointing show especially for the lead characters because their story run in circles.

This show in only half the episodes would have been even better because it dragged on for too long. The only highlight was Winny and Satang (Q and Toey) with an interesting arc. So, for me, it's a medicore show, most of the time nothing interesting happend. I was disappointed in the director who can deliver much better shows, I expected tons of annoying soundeffects and the lackluster kissing in many scenes in a thai BL show.

a mixed bag.

I didn't like the forced living together in Episode 1. Where does something like this fly today? Even if you would like that person, you would not start living together out of the blue. The rest of the story for the main couple was ok-ish. The side-couple was more or less wasted with too little in depth storytelling. They should have the flashbacks for both couples in the beginning which would have helped tremendously. The drama of Kim Jin Woo daddy was there to support the point that he's afraid of not connecting with the people he loves. Contrary he did connect with the girl in Ep 4 which didn't make much sense to me. If you are a loner, reclusive you don't connect with people in no time.
I wish they would have just concentrated on the lead couple and had a series for the side couple, maybe with even only 6 episodes per series.
The friendship between Jung Ki Sub and Choi Balg Eum was the highlight of the series for me. Overall it was an ok-ish series, not earth-shattering story-wise with some fluffy moments, but also not bad.

Aahhh.... sooooo nice....

There is not much else to say, it just warmed my heart...

The only thing I felt unneeded was the panel... Imho it did nothing for me and I don't need other "opinions" to come to a conclusion myself and it took some minutes off of other content. I prefer an unfiltered view of things. The second negative point is, it would have been so much nicer if something like this get at least eight episodes... compared to some of the crap shows which we have to endure for twelve episodes.

So overall I hope they are together till the end of time and I wish them happyness and health.

Great chemistry, messy story...

The premise of the show was very typical in the beginning, but it changed with the 2nd episode which was good. You may question Tuos method because it was more or less forced and that always leaves a bitter taste afterwards. It was not about a confession for Junxi anymore it was about discovering his own feelings, his angst about himself, family and all people around. They also inserted a GL part but did not play it out which is a shame, but maybe that comes with a special episode.

It's a lighthearted show with a focus on the emotional journey, with very incredible chemistry which elevates this show beyond average levels. Also the children were incredible. They added the "past" scenes to give more context which was missing in the original manga and it pays off. That's what I liked most about this show. Of course production quality was also top notch.

There is not much more to say besides, that I liked it and I would recommand this show over many we have had this year.

Over the top but still shallow...

I'm not a fan of the japanese original, because over-the-top comedy is always just cringy for me.
But while the japanese version was a bit over-the-top it also had some real emotions in it.

In this, I feel it's just polished but steril. There is never a point where there are real emotional connections.
They tried very hard to make it a good show, but they failed in the emotional departmant. All three characters were annoying as hell, one just stupid, the other a tsundere and the Boss is just creepy and overbearing.

So as always, I'm not a fan of thai remakes, because while polished in production the lack in the story and the characters. They also "dumbed down" this series. Did they do so to make it more appealing for the masses? I don't know.

Overall it's a medicore show with no real heights, with a stupid plot twist in the end and the finale was more of the category "WTF is happening"... at least the OST is nice in a funny way, going full India style 🤣. So if you have nothing other to do, there is some entertainment in this, but you won't miss out if you skip it.

As usual it gets weaker with every episode

While I enjoyed the first two episodes even with its weired story, it goes down the hill from there. The blood pork soup song was really entertaining and funny for me. But overall the story lacked substance and depth. Why drop the alien aspect of it? Why can they be only be 1000 years old which is against common "knowledge" and also why can't it be in the established realm that vampires can convert a human into a vampire?
That this is low budget production is evident, because most scenes are either on the rooftop or in the two rooms or Yohs home, with some scenes outside. Only the wardrobe was a bit fancy. As usual all the comedy slices in thai series have very silly soundeffects which are just annoying.

The show is not bad per se, but it left sooooo much to be desired. The supporting cast (especially the girls) are great imho because the main leads together don't have the chemistry you expect from a BL. Other low budget shows try to compensate with more mature scenes but here they are completly absent. Just one kissing scene is disappointing for a BL. Overall a mixed bag which could have been skipped alltogether.

I was disappointed with this japanese BL

While the first episode did hype me up, it does go down till the finale.
I would have know more about their past, I would have skipped the assistants love interest and I would concentrated more on charater growing because this series was so short and had too much unnecessary stuff in it, it does not explain Miyatas change very well. The chemistry between the grown up leads was medicore at best, the "young" ones had a more believable chemistry imho. Senpai did well, but Miyata lacked a lot. Also the kissing and "hot scenes" were not that believable for me.
While production value was good, the story and it's execution lacked too much for me, which makes me disappointing in this japanse BL. It's not bad, but it could have been so much more.

just a cute little story...

While Korea is flooding us with short mini-series, that's one of the few shorts from Japan. While nothing earthstattering, it was done quite well. Both actors seem a bit rough around the edges but they really tried hard. As it's often the case with JBLs, there is not a real kiss in it, which is a shame.

The subtitles are also nothing to write home, were the timing was off or some sentences are not translated completely, but everyone should get the gist of what is said. The only fault is that phone-screens were not translated at all.

Starts as a comedy and ends in a drama...

I did not expect much from this series. Luckily there was no brother/sister conflict as some hinted. It's about Natsuki who likes the same things as his sister but while his sister likes Sato as in "like", Natsuki does more than "like" him. What begins as comedy gradually turns into a drama about coming of age, discovering your own feelings and for Sata also deal with a confession from an unexpected source.

It's also about a family who have each others back and even the coming out is handled in a mature way. Yes there are little conflicts and little misunderstandings but overall they care about each other as families should do.

Production quality was good, cinematography was very popping (color-grading) giving it the summer vibe from the title and making this series very fluffy to watch. It's a nice binge-watch worthy series especially if you feel down. The finale suggest there might be a special, so maybe we get something which really feels like a finale. Overall, this was nice.

A nice slice of life special...

When a couple tries to go camping but the weather does not let them, they had to change plans. This special revealed something I was guessing while the series was running, but I won't spoil it for you.

It was funny and in the same style as the series, this time there is no drama, all is very mellow. Some of you might feel the missing NC-scene as a bad thing but it was not really needed. While licking feet was ok, real kissing is still a problem with many JBLs, so I would say we did not miss much.

This special made me happy and if you watched the series it's a perfect ending. There is not much to complain about, except the waiting time for the special to come out.
