Below is a honest review I found at geekreview and exactly my thoughts. "Well, there we have it – Gap: The Series is a sweet story between two relatable characters, giving us all the things we love of usual rom-coms in a GL show. If you are tired of tragic endings, token representation or the constant feminine rage as lesbian characters are used as catalysts or props for the main plot, Gap: The Series finally breaks away from the established norm and gives us the representation in Asian media that we have been waiting for."
Gap set standards so high, you are so jelous. That's what I got from your review. It's funny to see that some other gl show's actresses trying to be freenbecky, doing instagram, tiktok lives etc etc. I've watched like so mony ww series and movies, but Gap is the best one. It touched my heart like no one else. You say like love scenes are for male gaze, that's hillorious. You should watch show me love. 😂
I Never said Sam should choose Mon over her family. My point is she should at the very least be honest with Kirk…
What??? Sam says "mon is my lover" directly to kirk's face infront of mon in episode 9. If you are talking about before sam meeting mon, how can she say that she's gay like it's very welcoming environment. You know it's asia. Also before mon, sam's entire focus was on her company. She loves her grandma, so she may have made her mind to marry kirk. And it's grandma who's the antagonist of the story, not kirk.
I got you when you say sam fell for mon because she's the new pretty employee, you haven't watch the series I watched 😂 In the series I watched sam fell for hard working new girl who brought a new light, new ideas to her company.
At least watch the whole series before writing a review. Sam not being able to choose mon over her family is the story being realistic. That's something that happen in real life. Life is not always giving us right things, right? I'm not spoil you the end. The story is absoolutely not a waste. Gap the series actually set standards so high for w|w series.
I've watched w/w series from many countries and nothing can be compared with the feelings gap gives. Plot maybe somewhat a disaster, but the acting, dialogues, music, songs, the fact most of the song were sung by the lead actresses and cinematography: all of these are at next level compared to most of the w/w series and even with bl dramas. It's one of the shows that people are not getting tired of rewatching. I get the fact that most heterosexual girls only like bl series and hate gl series, but gosh, to a person who watch mainly w/w series Gap is a masterpiece.
