Way is personally my favorite character because he's the Anti-Hero, rather than the Antagonist(that's Tony). Anti-Heroes are complicated parts to play because you hate them 98% of the time and then still feel bad for them and wonder why(like Way's breakdown in the car), but still want to see what they'll do next. Anti-Heroes can come off as completely cringe if played wrong. Nut gets that, and it shows in his performance, even in That Scene. I cringed, but because of Way's actions, rather than over Nut's performance. That will always be flawless.

After a week to Process, I had a couple of Realizations: 1) I can hate the actions taken by a character and still understand the motivations behind those actions--even if those motivations aren't something I agree with or like. 2) At least in my head, Realization Number 1 applies to Several Characters, not just One. 1 Day until episode 10--CAN NOT WAIT!!!!!

So. Yes. They included That Scene(Way's attempted SA) and I'm so glad they did because as uncomfortable is it was to watch, it's a vital plot point for all three character arcs(if you haven't read the novel, you'll see what I mean soon. I won't write an essay about it, cause I'm saving that for the series review later, ha ha.) Kudos to Pavel, Nut and Pooh because as hard as those scenes are to watch, they are hard AF to write, direct and act in( and yes I speak from personal experience on two of those fronts--acting and writing--seriously all three of those guys need massive hugs). Can't wait for next week!

Nut did another series called "Oxygen" back it 2020 and it's FABULOUS!!! No Ping, but Nut sings in it and I adore every second he's on screen

Me too, but I think his ending will be kept the same as it was in the novel and that doesn't hit as hard unless he has a reason to want to redeem himself. Maybe they'll soften/shorten it like they did with other BL novel adaptions, or maybe just up the "Way is the Enigma and he works for Tony and lied to Babe for ten years" factor? Cause that could work too. Whatever they do, I REALLY hope they keep Way's redemptive sacrificial arc because that's one of the things I loved in the novel(I feel so bad for both Novel Way and Series Way that I can't hate him no matter how hard I try)

They are Dating, but not A Thing(it's *really* nuanced in the novel though so you have to pay attention :p)

Understandable. I wish there was a better way to adapt something this huge(GOT tried, and Outlander tried, and maybe one day some genius will figure it out) and I also highly recommend you read the novel because it's !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Plot Twist :)

Ok. So I do want to give a little bit of general kudos just because. (Capitalization is for emphasis, not yelling--for some reason I can't italicize anything) Are there changes that have been made? Yes. Are there people who will not agree with the changes/writing/plotting/characters? Yes. BUT, these guys took an 800 PAGE NOVEL(with so many plot twists that I had to create a character/plot/motivation spreadsheet for a couple of chapters, and no I'm not kidding--an actual spreadsheet) and adapted it into 13 EPISODES. As a writer myself(including several adaptions for the stage) I can tell you that's HELLA HARD. Also, watching scenes from the novel(even if they're just snippets, because it's an adaption) getting played out on screen make me so stupid happy(yes, even Tony the Snake, because he's on my list of Villains I Love to Hate and I'm loving how much S is enjoying eating up the screen in this role because !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Way knows that Tony will do something to Babe. He's allowing it because he thinks he can swoop in and be Babe's hero--and he's kidding himself, which hurts.
