Is he truly a "brilliant" actor? Usually, a versatile actor is sought after by different productions for a variety of genres. If his work is only tied to one creator, it raises questions. Given the past controversies and sexual harassment allegations surrounding GJM and his company employees, one can’t help but wonder if there is a specific reason this cast keeps being reused. The ML’s acting—especially the emotional and physical scenes—doesn't seem to justify the hype.

Is GJM suffering from a lack of creativity? The ML in Veil of Shadows has a background and powers almost identical to the ML in Fang of Fortune. Since he directed that previous project, it feels like he’s just copying the content for his own script now. The ML’s acting makes it worse—his crying and blood-spitting scenes are so unnatural. It’s basically a Fang of Fortune reunion minus the lead actor, but with a recycled plot.
