I think they wanted to save eps to build their relationship rather than elaborate on his cruelty as a general. A cold calculated prince is more easily imagined than a full fledged relationship. We did get to see his abilities in the 1st episode and this slow reveal of his princely skills is quite funny.

Is that on eps33-34 on the calendar a pair of lips? And do we get sth special the day after it finishes? I can't help but notice a petal on the 12th

It can't have anything else but a happy ending. I refuse to believe anything else.The romance is the focus and the chemistry is hot. There are some political schemes but so far they are building a very healthy courtship and it's beautiful to witness it.
