I don't know how the drama will play out but so far the directors know how to keep us entertained. I don't think there was an episode where we didn't get to see the ML bare chested.
I find this drama more engaging to watch than LOTFG. FL here acted more firm and authoritative. More convincing…
I agree. Unfortunately I dropped LOTFG bc she was too cute for a suppressed-woman/general. My only problem with Shadow Love is his child appearance. I'm on ep2 does he switch permanently or will I have to drop it, too?
Ep 1. Couldn't they find an actor the same built as her? It's not just the height. It's also the width! I mean, it's more than obvious he is not the general
I don’t know if anyone noticed or has said it but this story is really f*king dark?!?? Hello?? Cannibalism..the…
The themes are shocking. I have an objection though. Ep 13 is all about him being inherently evil and prophesied to destroy the immortal realm, but aren't the said immortals pure evil? Please tell me he won't forgive them in the name of inner nirvana
Wow! The first episode was great! I have watched the kdrama and loved it, but here I get "maturity", if you know what I mean. The FL is not extremely unattractive for the sake of shocking the audience with her transformation, the 2FL has the perfect facial expression to pass as innocent (I was shocked how well she played the caring friend at the beginning) and the 2ML is just a common guy, and looks it. The ML doesn't appear as a knight in shining arnour but rather as an alarm, trying to wake her up. The characters seem so real, it's almost scary how possible this situation feels. And the soundtrack, so catchy!
If I may talk to you about this one thing- I haven't watched the whole drama yet, on 14th ep rn, I totally understand…
All I can say is she doesn't forgive him early. Keep watching and you'll be rewarded with one of the most realistic FLs there is in Cdrama. And you'll enjoy his growth, too.
Everyone forgets the beginning of the story because it's fast and grotesquely humorous. Fl dies in about 10 different…
The ML 's growth is bc of the FL. She's struggling with her feelings for him and her certain death, but he had to become a good person from a villain. She never disregarded any innocent life even though she is in a script. Her only problem is NH. She has to be cruel to keep him away from her bc only then her family and herself will survive. On the other hand the ML, up to episode 27 was covering up his uncle's crimes while repenting as a second persona. He needs the growth. She doesn't need growth, she needs security, which the script has already shown is not guaranteed no matter what she does.
I just rewatched it, and I can say it’s my favourite show of 2025. Now that I understand the female lead’s…
Ι agree! I'm rewatching now and I'm on ep20. FL's actions are consistent and justifiable, and so are the ML's. There are are so many instances that show why SYM is right to worry about NH, and not just the main drama scenes. As LSL he made her search for the sword method supposedly so that NH wouldn't get it and he even threatened her with his safe being to break up her engagement. I missed these points the first time. I don't mind the emperor this time around, too. The one I can't stand at all is SYT. Her behaviour grates on my nerves.
I'm rewatching and NH is truly despicable in the first episodes. Short drama toxic 2ML material, I mean he doesn't even have love/hate feelings for the FL. I don't blame SYM wanting to off him. I can see both their POVs and I'm not blaming anyone for their reactions. Had I been any one of them I would have acted the same. But, irrelevant question. Is there sth wrong with CG's horse on ep 4? Is it hurt or sth?
