Judging by the preview they won't succeed and he won't sacrifice his pearl. He agreed to be her guardian spirit but that also implies protecting her. I presume nearing the end and after falling in love he'll sacrifice his pearl to save her(be it for the 8fs, or sth else). They have 49 days to do so, because after that the real Gap has to cross the bridge and she's all adamant to save him

When did he agree? He only used his pearl to subdue the 8fs. He didn't deplete it. He's not in love yet to sacrifice himself. We are just given the cause of his death and the plant probably has sth to do with bringing him back

As I thought. It's too early for him to sacrifice himself. Judging by the preview the Eight foot spirit saga will go on for at least a week more

I loved it that everyone survived but at what cost? I don't like crying, and the last 2 eps had me in constant tears. I'm mad at Banxia for just accepting fate and not jumping into the Carefree Realm and turn everything upside down. Grab him by the tail girl and demand your panther daughter!
