I think there is more to the story that they didn't show. I believe The kids mother was familiar with Yoryak and gave her consent as well as permission to see her son. Although the didn't show how she and the kid knew Yoryak. But I am supposing that since Yoryak was a sports celebrity . The kid might have been a fan of him(as it seemed while they met) .. so Dee and the Mother might have thought to have Yak meet him since it was his birthday and he might feel special.
