I read the novel nd am telling you the actor playing Gao Tu fits the role perfectly not just by the visuals and physiology but by his personality and demeanor as well.
The actor is doing an amazing job in portraying the character. Gives me the impression that he is serious about his craft.

I am not judging based on the series trailers. Honestly they all look good so far. However, I am judging based on their long reputation of making characters cringey out of nowhere. 😅 Also , saying cringey is too heavy of a word and would also be injustice. I would rather say making character act dumb and childish (that would fit more of a description).
