Interesting
When I heard that the show was getting a season two I was so excited, but then I found out about the switch in casting, I was disappointed but I like mike from other shows so I was less upset over the change… but let me tell you when I actually watched the show I was majorly disappointed. I didn’t like that the main female lead didn’t have a relationship with the kid and how the relationship between the two main characters was kind of on and off, it didn’t feel like a romance and I was just disappointed that they didn’t have more romance and more family moment. Was this review helpful to you?
I really did enjoy it!
Thundercloud Rainstorm has a genuinely strong story at its core. The emotional beats land well, and the overall narrative keeps you invested, especially in the way it explores relationships and personal growth. The writing itself is solid and gives the characters depth that makes you want to see how everything unfolds. That said, one element was genuinely confusing: the flashbacks to the characters' younger selves.
The younger actors looked nothing like the present-day versions, to the point where it was hard to immediately recognize who was who. With no visible similarities-facial features,
mannerisms, or even styling—it pulled focus away from the story and made those scenes unnecessarily disorienting.
It was especially puzzling because the main cast isn't old enough that drastically different actors were needed. Using the same actors, or at least casting younger versions with clearer resemblance, would have made the transitions much smoother and the storytelling more cohesive.
Overall, Thundercloud Rainstorm is a good, engaging story, but the casting choices for the younger timelines were distracting and took away from an otherwise well-told narrative.

I definitely recommend watching
Lover Merman is one of those shows you start for the fantasy charm and end up binge-watching because it’s just that unexpectedly addictive. It’s light, cute, and delightfully silly in all the right ways — but then the plot hits you with a twist that genuinely surprised me and had me not wanting to put the show down.I really liked the main cast and I couldn’t get over Phu’s smile it was just so captivating. Their chemistry felt effortless, both PhuNava and PhanaPing, and they carry every scene with so much warmth that you’ll wish they get cast together again ASAP. This pairing deserves another project!
I hope to see the leads reunite in another project soon, because they’re too good together to be a one-time pairing.
