I have seen almost 100 BL dramas. I don’t usually write reviews but for this one, I will. It’s been more than a year and I must say that it is my favorite BL drama ever for several reasons, Addicted being my second
Usually, for me, a lot of BL shows have several very cringe moments. Stay with me has the fewest by far.
The actors are doing a fantastic job. And I am not even talking about the main 2 boys. Su Yu’s father and the girl are very likable and believable.
The main 2 boys, Xu Bin and Jiong Min are absolutely fantastic. From acting to singing to how connected they are with each other. If I didn’t know this is a show, I would’ve guessed that they love each other. This was also the main attraction in Addicted. The absolutely believable connection between the main 2 actors.
The pacing of the show and the editing is really good and it keeps you connected at all times. They really learned that lesson from Addicted which had a few problems here.
And very important, the soundtrack is stellar. I have spent many weeks listening to those fantastic 4 songs by Xu Bin ( who is an absolute talent when it comes to songwriting and acting ) feat Jiong Min, who is also a very talented guy.
Overall, I think that it will be very difficult for another show to surpass Stay With Me considering how high quality is in so many areas
