I have watched boss and me and i like the drama. as in most dramas that i have watched - the FL is usually the saving grace regardless on whether the ML (character, performance, role, etc) is good or not good OR the story is good or not good OR the screenplay/script is good or not good. If the FL does well, the drama is kind of on her shoulder. Boss and me seems the same, zang liying did well enough; but zang han (may be his role/character) is not admirable - degrading to FL (bossing her around as if FL is his toy or slave: may be that is the mentality of the producer and or director). In this drama, i only saw a clip plus some comments - I have got the idea that it is zang han himself who is the problem.....
It is just 5 episodes worth - expanded to 26 episodes. Meaning, same plot, same screenplay, same acting - every episode. Not even clear why FL's breaking up with former BF for going after another girl, then FL going after another guy (ML) is a big mess. It ought to be normal. Yet it is what has been dragging the drama for 26 episodes. Get the point? Big issue (and for 26 episodes) for such a shallow issue. Then lying to the new BF/ML about it..... Basically, at least for me, what carries the drama up to 26 episode is Bai Lu. As always, Bai Lu does not disappoint. Her beauty (although I like her original/old beauty) and her acting -- thus her presence has lifted the drama (any drama for that matter: dry and shallow like this one; or top notch like Love is Sweet) a notch higher. On another note, DW - as an actor does, not seem fit for the character of the CEO in this drama, especially when paired with Bai Lu. DW's face is too strict and gangster-boss like. Even though his character requires him to be strict and tough, his face seems too rough - dart vader like. Even in the opening episode where he was walking wearing an overcoat, his posture seems awkward. No poise nor grace..... I believe, for this drama, the CEO/ML could have been Luo Yunxi of Love is Sweet or the SML in this drama Wei Zhe Ming of Helo Im at your service. Both can look tough as CEO but can look nice and gentle naturally, and have nicer posture. DW is to me good at tough, villain or gangster characters just like in Meteor Garden 2018.
