Is it weird that I like everything about this show except the main couple?
I love all the characters. I like that they all seem to have hidden agendas and personal machinations that clash with each other and make for interesting dynamics. This show has a really rich and really deep bench of supporting characters.
I love that they take racing seriously in the show and don’t just use it as a backdrop to make the main character seem cooler.
I really like the main character. I actually think it’s refreshing that he’s a little bit bitchy, because it’s a different take from the typical, cliche and boring BL main lead stereotype.
The plot is moving forward at a decent pace, and right when I find myself on the edge of my seat, compelled by all the intrigue and drama….
…They cut to a scene between the main couple and its so boring that I lose all the tension and intrigue that was building.
I wish I knew why this was. Is it a chemistry problem? An acting issue? Are these characters written to just be a soulless pair of sexbots that only love each other because the plot says so?
Whatever it is, I hope they can sort it out. Because other than the kind of important problem of not liking the main couple, i think this show is pretty good. I’d give it 7.8 out of 10 stars
