The parents are so down to earth, they’re rich but they’re not like we are rich you can’t be with my son because you’re lower class. so tired and sick of the typical rich and poor stereotypical family. This drama is such a breath of fresh air. No family drama is a plus, they just stick with the romance and what first time insecure lovers go thru.

Yes! And the worried and scared expression when he hugged her like he was going to lose her and their confrontation later in the room when he apologized as her director. So sweet

Agree! I saw behind the scenes, they’re such goofballs, all of them. It shows on screen as well. They’re so comfortable with each other that on screen you don’t see the awkwardness that I’ve seen miles in other dramas, you can see in his other dramas that he seems more reserved, even the kiss scenes I don’t feel the spark and butterflies compared to that I see these two have here.

I find her cute and the FL that is cute with the ML. She’s strong and don’t let anyone bully her which is why she’s called a tyrant.

I’m enjoying it and so does my brother who is not into lovey dovey shows, he would always come back and ask me if the next episode is up, haha here’s a lot of mixed comments about people dropping it here. But they’ll be back commenting 😉 next episode the out FL walls in her heart will be broken since he read her inner feeling through her past weibo post sorta like her diary, and she opens up to him fully since he knows everything now. I want him to confess to her his inner feelings as well. Whole dramas we are able to see her POV but not so the ML. I sort of get the idea he likes her in one of the short clips at the end of one episode where he is making the fish and she wipes off the flour off his face. I’m like if this guy don’t like her he would be taken aback specially since she keeps inching closer and closer. I wouldn’t want a guy that close to me if I don’t feel anything for him.

Esp with a past comment of people speculating that the ML always had a thing for the FL since the beginning when she’s brought into his office to ask her matchmake him with her friend as a way to get close to him. I was skeptical with this speculation until the ML buddy switches from oh the ML is a good fit for her best friend to a later episode of him changing his statement to “I always think you match well with FL” I went like huh? How he be changing his statement in past to ML with FL best friend to her now. Unless it was hinting that ML always had a thing for FL therefore naming the title of this drama “I May Love You.”

My brother said the same, wow he’s skinny to fight two huge guys. And I’m like he goes to gym. 😆 referring back when he was punching his friend for going out with his sister but reality is to let out his pent up frustration of the FL out with another guy.

Agree with you girl! I’m so glad she was still worried about the hand that she bite when she touched it, it’s not what others saying she doesn’t care. She even mentioned herself she is jealous but can’t show it. She can’t be the one who is going to show it and have the person get the upper hand. He had to work for it! The copywrite issue, it pissed me off so much as much as you. Book been with them for 4 years! 4 long years, but they don’t see the potential in it until she decide to resign and sign it to another company just so he can get her to stay. I’m like you go girl when she rejected his offer when he accepted to be her producer. Loved her for having a backbone that we rarely see in other girls in Cdramas. When love is not there, girl focus on career! You don’t need a man to survive.

It’s so easy to relate to her when you yourself went through pain and rejection yourself. Which i think is why many side with the ML, you have to go through heartbreak ❤️‍🩹 in order for yourself to be strong. And she nailed it.

Loved how he save her and her reaction to it, it was done super cute and adorable in my opinion. She acted like a little kid I don’t know how to put it. But I definitely prefer this rather than the knight and shining armor. It seems so much more intimate like a bf cooing a baby not to cry, and when she said I never been slapped he looked at her gently said wait for me and went to kick butt.

Omg! I’ve seen it on YouTube, that incident happened in China, Stephanie Soo on YouTube covered it and I’m like those poor woman. There’s just some men out there who won’t take a rejection and revert to violence and beating up women. When I saw the scene in the drama of two men beating two women up and even slapped the FL I was thinking of the same incident you mentioned that happened in real life. I have absolute hatred on men putting their hands on women.

I totally agree. I have seen miles in his previous works with different FL but I don’t feel like the spark was there, it could be maybe the personality between different costars. But here he’s different, like I’ve seen comments, you start to actually see Miles acting shine. I saw the behind the scenes of this drama and the FL is bubbly. They’re always acting silly and goofy with each other. Even sharing cakes with each other and kicking each other.

Again it’s the screenwriters and the directing and the comfort with one another that this drama is different from the others. I also loved how we are a week away till the ending of the drama and there is no villain and the family of the ML isn’t throwing money at the FL to have her leave his son that many rich entitled family are. Everyone here is so down to earth with no drama. But we going to see how the FL dad is going to take it, they’re so overprotective with their daughter, wonder how that’s going to play out.

Right on! I can’t agree more about what you said. This drama feels like a breath of fresh air. I’m reading a lot of comments of audience here who dislike the drama and reading too much into how cold the main actress here. But I do not see it as so. Coming from a Chinese background as well, i agree with what you said about our culture as females we must not give in to males so easily. Also, this is a drama with Miles where I can start to see how much miles grown as an actor. Like you said it is definitely the costar who is paired up with him, that allowed them both to shine.

The FL is definitely not a brat like many see her as, she is strong and moved on quickly and focused primarily on her career which I find completely right on her end which is rare for Chinese dramas. She is not cold, she spend 4 years in this company and moved onto a company where she can find herself growing and flourish is completely reasonable. She said herself she has her novel with the company for 4 years and he never think about turning her novel to a movie let alone even touched or read her book. It was after she left he decided to do it… a little too late.

That said I really loved watching this drama and I enjoyed reading your insight to what you see and felt and it’s as if you took all the words I am feeling. I can’t wait to see eps 17 where he found out shes been in love with him for 4 years instead of the few months/days she told him. It’s not easy for her to express her inner feeling out loud and it’s satisfying to see that he finally founds out her inner feelings. Like his buddy said, “she already took so much confidence to confess to you, what you want? To have her on her knees crying and confessing 100 reasons why she loves you?” It’s unreal! Words are just words, actions show you more than 100000 words can. Who can say they ever confessed truthfully to their crush. I find her confession superficial to love his looks and money. But if I was in her shoes I can see why she said so, let’s say she thinks he does reject her (which he did anyway), to say she loves his money and look a better way to step away and have face.

I see her definitely more stubborn rather than cold as many stated. esp loving him for 4 long years and all of a sudden do a 360 and say I want to pursue her after rejection I would do the same. He change pretty fast that I find this unrealistic rather than anything else many has mentioned, we should see his point of view rather than always apologizing to her.
