I really enjoyed the novel, especially the message it conveyed. I liked the drama as a drama, but of course I felt disappointed when I compared it to the original story. The female-empowerment scenes, in particular, were handled quite poorly.

If the FL had been portrayed differently, maybe the show wouldn’t have been as funny as it is now. I understand your point about her not looking like a general, but she’s such a cute and likable character.

Compared to the novel, the plot is definitely lacking, but the drama is more lighthearted and entertaining. I guess they adapted it this way so a wider audience could enjoy it.
