IMO, at the confrontation scene, Chan already told Kannika that he has parted ways from Parit and most probably was going to leave that house but was suddenly attacked by Kannika. Even after Kannika’s death, he didn’t go back to Parit since he had already decided to leave him and death of Kannika must’ve made it harder for his conscience to get back with Parit.
