Maybe they got a technical problem with their subtitle. Some international viewers commented that only 6 episodes have English subtitles. If that series will not released again in a few days, maybe you are right. The chance of total BL adaptation ban rumor in China is probably be in a higher range of being a fact news.

That's fake news. Tencent or any Tencent executive never said that. And I doubt tencent will let an S+ drama like Haoyixing to be shelved. They spent a lot of money for the series.
But then, let's say the news was true, then Tencent should have an official statement about it given that they are in an entertainment industry. But there's none.
MY THEORY: I think Hao Yi Xing has already license to broadcast. This series was SUPPOSEDLY released a few years ago (2021). But due to different circumstances, there was few of delays. The production was just waiting for the right time.
Way back of its supposed broadcast date, the issue about 'Word of Honor' in 2021 became a hot topic. I think the production can't risk to release the Immortality because of the issue since Haoyixing is a S+ drama. They can't afford to sacrifice it because it is a big blow budget show. Also, I think one of the reasons for the delay is due to the new rules implemented in 2020, the 40 episode rule. This caused the series (I think) to re-edit for another set of review and approval. Other reason, I think, is the scheduling of many S+ dramas in a row of months. Even if the series were released on the same platform, it will cause competition and will crab down other series. This may possibly lose much income for the platform and the production. 2021 wasn't indeed a good year to be released. Also 2022 wasn't a good year because the boycott issue of Word of Honor and 227 issue of The Untamed were still hot in the eye of the media. As 2023 occurs, it was a good year to release Hao Yi Xing but Luo Yun Xi has other prior commitment with Till the end of the Moon and his other slated series, and projects for that year. Chen Fei Yu, however, got involved with an illicit affair issue with a fan...which we can conclude that Hao Yi Xing was postponed again.
In my ending note, 2024 is the perfect year to broadcast the series. With the increasing popularity of both Luo Yun Xi and Chen Fei Yu, I think Immortality series will be a win-win project for all those who are involved. One positive hint for its release this year 2024 is the LYX Studio promotional video which they flashed Luo Yun Xi's project in 2024. And guess what? Immortality (Hao Yi Xing) was one of his commitment project this year. This also aligned with Chen Fei Yu's commitment as he has only one project to work on this year. Let's all hope and manifest that Immortality will be broadcast (complete) this 2024. Manifesting ❤️ (1)

I've been constantly requesting Netflix for Immortality (Haoyixing) and they gave me the "The Last Immortal". Well to be fair, that series is good but I'm asking for Chen Fei Yu's Immortality as Moran. 😭😭😭😭 I should be specific next time. 😭😭😭😭
How unfair! IQiyi released a promotional update to Luo Yun Xi's new series entitled 'Follow Your Heart' 😭 This series was wrapped up just only last year and look, they got already promotion video this year for that series.
I've got a certain feeling...if they happen to release some danmei adaptations or bromance series they have been checking for censorship, among the three powerhouse (Eternal Faith, Immortality and Winner is King) I think this is the most likely to release first. You why?
1. The two other series got RUMORS of being release this year and they are all over the twitter the past weeks. Winner is King has none, aside for the interaction of the two main lead in Weibo Night. We all know China tends to shut or hinder all things too popular.
2. Among the three series, Winner is King is the only series qualified for the new China 40 episodes rule.
I just came to realize that this series has sa tag named 'Tearjerker'. And by how the novel affects my emotional state...I don't know if I'm really ready to wreck my heart seeing them...and the scenes in the novel that broke me into million pieces. 😭😭😭
