voila, the marketing got me, but the relationship exhausted me

This drama is REALLY good at marketing because those clips had me curious long before I even watched it. The first 2 episodes were actually fun too—childhood friends, dated for 10 years, basically grew up together. I thought we'd get a complicated but meaningful long-term love story. Instead, Lee Mi-do is at the lowest point of her life, drowning in insecurity, and decides to break up with Namgung because she feels like a burden. I understand WHY she feels that way.

And Namgung isn't exactly helping either. He's handsome, successful, attentive, protective, capable of being a provider, and genuinely loves her, but when she's drowning, his answer is basically “then marry me.” SIR??? Sometimes being a good man isn't enough if you don't actually understand what the other person needs.

Then we have the junior and another guy (lawyer) approaching their relationship. So apparently when a ten-year relationship loses its spark, we need other people to bring back the butterflies and heartbeat again??? Having feelings isn't automatically cheating because you can't control every feeling, but entertaining those feelings while your relationship is unresolved? micro-cheating territory for me. And I'm sorry, but I cannot root for that. Ten years of love shouldn't feel disposable just because someone else makes your heart flutter again and wavering.

Maybe I'm simply not the target audience for this kind of messy relationship drama because I was TIRED. 😭 I came for a long-term love story, stayed because the marketing successfully trapped me, and ended up spending more time questioning everyone's decisions than enjoying the drama. Maybe I'll try this again once it finishes airing, just so I can see exactly where this whole mess lands. If the ending actually makes everything worth it, maybe I'll give it a second chance. If not… sorry maybe this is the final review
