Best C-drama with the best OST 2024
This drama was an absolute masterpiece from start to finish. The scenery, the OST - especially the song "You are Everything" by Saji and Hooleeger, the talented cast, the impeccable settings, the captivating romance, and the well-crafted plot - there was never a dull moment. Even the side characters were excellently portrayed. Believe me when I say this is one of Xukai's big breaks. Like this drama is so so good. Top notch.I was a bit apprehensive when I saw Xukai taking on a more mature role, but he exceeded all expectations and showcased his amazing versatility. The chemistry between Xukai and Seven Tang was wonderful to watch. In fact, all the actors, including the skilled portrayal of the villainous characters Cheng He and Zeng Di, delivered outstanding performances that really drew me into the story. They acted so well that I ended up hating them.
The ending was perfectly paced and didn't feel rushed at all. The special episode provided a satisfying conclusion, though the death of the character Han Ting due to old age was heartbreaking. Him using the forgiveness card on Ji Xing once more before dying made me burst into tears. The bittersweet nature of the finale struck the right balance, as not every story can have a completely happy ending. We got to see Han Ting and Ji Xing's happy moments, their marriage, pregnancy, kids, and them growing old together.
I also adored the cute cat character Dahuang. Even the Mother and Son duo (Lu Linjia and Mrs. Han). They were the comedy part of the drama 😹😹😹. While I had some minor quibbles with certain characters' storylines, such as not being able to see more of what happened to the villains, Cheng He and Zeng Di, after they got investigated. They deserved harsh punishment, especially Zeng Di. I also felt like Huang Wei Wei's storyline was left unfinished - she deserved punishment too. I didn't like how Wei Qiu Zi's story was written off, but I liked her a bit despite her flaws. I also wished for more scenes with Li Li and Su Zhi Zhou in the special episode - they deserved more screen time!
Overall, this drama deserves a 10000000/10 rating from me. It had everything - drama, comedy, romance, family, friendship, business, breakup, colleagues trust, relationships, lots of kisses, both happy and sad moments. This drama has everything you want and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an impactful and well-crafted viewing experience. I don't think there will be any drama like this, honestly but let's look out for more upcoming dramas.

A Diamond in the Rough ?❤️?
Eiii!!! I am thrilled beyond words that this incredible drama has reached its conclusion. It surpassed all my expectations and truly captured my heart. The pairing was so unexpected, yet it added a special charm to the storyline. Let's take a moment to appreciate Uhm Tae Goo's deep, mesmerizing voice and his ruggedly handsome features. Oh, he's absolutely irresistible! And Kim Hyun Jin, who reminds me so much of Park Hyun-sik, brought another layer of depth to the drama.Every character in this series was a delight to watch. Man Ho and Jae Su's hilarious antics had me in stitches, especially Jae Su's mispronunciations and quirky interpretations of words. Even the secondary characters, like Prosecutor Jang, who initially annoyed me, won me over by the end.
I could go on and on about this drama and how adorable each character is. Let's not forget about Kang Gil, who, despite being one of the villains, managed to steal my heart with his undeniable charm. While I thoroughly enjoyed the series, there were a few flaws that caught my attention.
1. The awkwardness of the kisses between the ML and FL
2. The questionable decision to make us like the Kitty Kang leader with his initial cuteness 😒
3. The unnecessary interruption during the intimate moment between Il yeong and his wife in the final episode
Overall, I adored the friendships portrayed in the drama, like Seo Ji Hwan and his kids, and the heartwarming bond between Man Ho and Eun Ha (chuckling in "Hey, little mouse"). Witnessing his transformation from her biggest hater to one of her biggest supporters was truly heartening. I wholeheartedly recommend this drama to anyone looking for a solid 10/10 viewing experience.

What the hell did I just watch?!
I'm utterly perplexed by this drama - the plot is needlessly convoluted! The talented cast deserves better material. Honestly, I'd love to see them shine in a different drama, but this one misses the mark. To those who find this drama acceptable, I suggest seeking a reality check or professional help. Two-timing is never justifiable, no matter the circumstances. I'm only giving this drama a 4/10 due to the actors' efforts, but I cannot recommend it to anyone. Was this review helpful to you?

What a drama!! ?❤️
Early Spring is undoubtedly one of the best dramas released this year, and honestly, I enjoyed it more than I expected to. There was just something about this drama that kept me hooked. And can we talk about the chemistry between the leads, Luke and Flora?? Because I absolutely loved it. 😭 Their chemistry felt so natural, and their interactions were definitely one of my favourite parts of the drama. And the OSTs!!! Goshhh. Whoever worked on the soundtrack deserves their flowers because the songs fit the scenes so well. But let me specifically talk about “You Should Know” becauseeeee 😭😭😭
“You’ve got amber eyessss, you should know…” 🎶
And there’s me sitting there blushing throughout because I already know what’s coming next. 😭😂 Like, the moment that song starts playing, I already know the scene is about to give me butterflies. At this point, the song itself has become a warning sign for me. 😂 Why was I always smiling like an idiot whenever it came on?? 😭❤️
However, I do feel like some parts of the story weren’t really adding up. There were certain moments where I was just confused like, wait, how did we get here? 😭 I’m guessing this probably has something to do with them not being able to include everything from the novel. Sometimes you can actually tell when a drama adaptation has had to leave out certain details because some scenes move too quickly or certain things aren’t properly explained.
But even with that, it’s still a must-watch for me.
One thing I particularly loved was seeing Flora’s growth throughout the drama. In the beginning, when she was with Luke, she was such a pushover. She tolerated a lot, especially with Luke’s attitude and the way he could talk to her. She was always willing to accept whatever he wanted, even when it clearly wasn’t making her happy.
But I absolutely LOVED seeing her eventually realise that she needed to do better for herself.
The fact that she started working out, started doing things on her own and, most importantly, started becoming more independent was so satisfying to watch. It wasn’t just about her relationship with Luke anymore. She was slowly becoming her own person, making her own decisions and learning to stand up for herself.
And I think that was one of the best parts of her character development. She matured. 🥹
It’s also kind of an eye-opener for ladies who find themselves constantly adjusting themselves just to please someone they’re in a relationship with. Loving someone doesn’t mean you have to accept everything they do or lose yourself in the process. You can love someone and still have your own voice, boundaries, goals and life outside the relationship.
And honestly, I enjoyed the Luke and Flora breakup scene. 😭 As painful as it was, I genuinely felt like they needed that breakup. Sometimes two people can love each other and still not be good for each other at that particular point in their lives. Flora needed that space to grow into herself, and I think the breakup was part of that journey.
Now, I won’t even start talking about Lumi because that girl??? 😭😭 She’s the best gurllll indeed!! I absolutely loved her. She brought so much personality to the drama, and honestly, side characters like her can sometimes make a drama even more enjoyable. Every time she appeared, I already knew I was about to enjoy myself. 😂
But Sun Yuan Zhu???
WHY DID THEY HAVE TO KILL HIM OFF??? 😭😭😭
Because honestly, that part did not make sense to me at all. I was just there thinking, but what was the reasonnnn?? 😭 I understand that sometimes these things have to happen for the plot, but stilllll, couldn’t we have found another way?? 😂 It felt unnecessary, but I guess it was all for the plot.
And then there’s Sun Yu. Goshhh, I actually felt so bad for my poor gurlll. 🥺 Having feelings for someone, especially when those feelings are that deep, and then having to deal with losing that person in such a tragic way… it was heartbreaking to watch. Her storyline really got to me.
And honestly, this is one thing I’d like to take away from the drama beyond all the romance and drama.
To anyone who is struggling with thoughts of suicide, please remember that you are not alone. Whatever you’re going through right now may feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to carry it by yourself. Please talk to someone you trust—a friend, family member, counsellor, pastor, doctor, or anyone who can stay with you and help you through that moment.
You are loved. You matter. And even if you cannot see a way out right now, please give yourself the chance to see what tomorrow brings. ❤️
If you’re having those thoughts right now, please don’t stay alone with them. Reach out to someone you trust or contact your local emergency/crisis service. You deserve help and support.
Anywayyy, back to the drama before I start crying again. 😭
Overall, Early Spring was such a fun watch. It had romance, good chemistry, funny moments, lovable side characters, beautiful OSTs, character growth and just enough drama to keep things interesting without becoming too heavy.
If you’re looking for something light, cute and easy to binge, especially if you like the boss-and-worker relationship trope, then this is definitely your go-to.
Definitely recommend! 🫶🏽✨
Ps. I can't wait for S2 🫠❤️

One of the best drama but the ending was so rushed, IMO ?
Honestly, I was totally obsessed with this drama at first! The cast was amazing, the cinematography was stunning, and the soundtrack was everything! The villains delivered impressive performances, making me love to hate them, lol. But around ep 22, things started to drag. I mean, Liu Mian Tang got her memory back and suddenly everything was just so... slow. And don't even get me started on Prince Sui. I was expecting this epic arch-nemesis, but he just ended up being a mama's boy. Like, what even was the point of their revenge plot? They could have easily done off with him from the first episode, duhhhOn the other hand, Marquis Zhennan was EVERYTHING. His humor was on point and kept me going even when I wanted to give up. And can we talk about Xue Ji and He Zhen's character development? I was so here for it! He Zhen went from potential rival to a loyal friend.
But, sadly, the drama just felt so rushed. Like, what happened to Prince Sui in the end? And his adopted daughter, Ms. Sun? And Lord Huaiyang's sister - why didn't she divorce that trash husband? The sudden dethroning of the puppy king and his mother without resistance was also unconvincing.
So many questions left unanswered. I'm giving it 9.5/10, mostly because of the amazing cast (WCR and ZWY, I'm looking at you!). They made the show worth watching, even if the pacing and plot fell short.
