That’s what I did because right now I’m rewatching this k-drama and I like the subs on kocowa more. But myflixer is definitely a great option too

Hmm, I don’t think it’s likely for this k-drama to get a 2nd season, the ending had pretty much closed the story. But if it gets a sequel, I would definitely watch it. This k-drama is one of my favourites if not my favourite<3

Why? Because seeing his face won’t let me enjoy the k-drama. Even if I pretend the current situation isn’t real, I still know about his controversial statements, like the one where he said he would like to marry a 20 year old woman when he’s 40. On top of that, he even said that he would like to film a drama where Kim You Jung is his lover. Ironically, he said that during an interview about this k-drama, so in 2012 when Kim You Jung was only 13 years old. So honestly no matter the outcome of the current situation, he’s still a creep and I could never watch a k-drama with him in the cast.
The fact that I wanted to rewatch this k-drama because I first watched it like 10 years ago and I forgot everything about it… guess I won’t rewatch it after all 😮💨

LITERALLY!!!! He ruined my watching experience:(( This k-drama is so so good, I wanted to rate it a 9.5 or even a 10, but I couldn’t stand the emperor. I get why they shaped the character this way, but it was too much for me. The worst thing is that he had no character development. Like okay, let’s make this character possessive and toxic for the whole series, but at least they should’ve made him more intelligent, mature and definitely stronger by the end of the series. But in the end he was still the same lame and pitiful character. I get they wanted to make him a bad guy, but he could’ve been a cool bad guy, if that makes sense

No, in my opinion. The ending is historically accurate and it’s neither sad or happy. Without giving spoilers, all I can say is that the mc is still on her way of achieving great things

Yes, I agree, it makes sense. I just don’t like the way his vulnerability and trauma shaped his personality. These experiences can shape many types of personalities, and I don’t like the extremely jealous, possessive one, that lead to decisions being taken by emotions, not logics. But I get what you mean and I understand why people might not mind it. Personally, I like characters who get over this phase, because otherwise it gives me a hard time while watching the k-drama.
It could’ve been a masterpiece, but the emperor is a terrible character. No character development at all, very immature and he took many important decisions that ended up being extremely frustrating. I’m trying not to be subjective, so objectively I find him a character that ruins the k-drama. Normally I wouldn’t let an annoying character ruin my watching experience, but because of him it was hard for me to watch the k-drama. I completed it, but it was kind of draining. I wanted to skip a lot of parts and the time passed painfully slowly because of the emperor. Unfortunately, 7.5/10, I wanted to give it a 10, but this character ruined my watching experience many times. Besides of that, it’s an amazing k-drama and I loved it.
