Girl you can just move on from it. Nobody’s forcing you go say. Many fans just found out about this so they don’t even wait that long. Also even if movie releases after couple years and all the fans stopped waiting for it, if it’s still good it is going to attract new fans. Fans who are waiting aren’t even 10% of potential viewers in China.

So there’s really no way to have full length BL there. I haven’t read this, but out of almost every korean BL if you cut romance barely anything will be left to the plot. This works with chinese because they’re very plot heavy, but koreans and japanese 90% are purely romance. What I’m trying to say here you shouldn’t be afraid cause it definitely won’t became a trend. Also if they want to mimic Chinese censored BL they should do more stuff like Devil Judge. Original story with heavy BL hints. This would attract both BL and any average kdrama lovers. Win win situation for them.

I’m so happy someone finally acknowledged this! The comment section under all this BL dramas are so brainwashed…. It is true that c government is super homophobic but the country itself seems far more open minded than both koreans and japanese. I mean their all time greatest movie is literally gay movie, farewell my concubine, which is not even censored. Comment section under that drama is completely clueless about how traditional koreans are, and how BL is basically weirdo genre there. Yes it is allowed to shot them, since it’s democratic country, but these BL dramas are like 20 $ adaptations with actors almost 0 roles before it. But as someone who reads tons of korean BL manhwa and novels, sadly those are of far lower quality than danmei. They can’t even be compared. I genuinely doubt anything can replace dangai. However they still say in China that the ban is temporary and gonna be lifted in 2025 or 2026. I still have hopes.
