big filler
I didn't like this drama. At first, it promised a great story of action and revenge, but I don't know where the 'legend of the female general' went. At no point throughout the story did you feel that the woman was a general, let alone a man that she had to pass off as. I know some situations are poetic license, but it's very confusing because, many times, she would change her persona, leaving the viewer lost. The supporting characters were poorly inspired, with disconnected storylines that had little connection to the main plot, seemingly there just to fill time. The scenes that should have been full of emotion, when the male lead discovers certain secrets, were made in the least emotional way possible. I didn't see much chemistry between the two leads, and I didn't like the cold acting of the male protagonist. The question remains: where did the general and the revenge story go?Was this review helpful to you?

The story could’ve been developed better.
Well, this is the story about a character named Khem, whose family is cursed, and who is destined to die when he turns 21. Because of that, he decides to seek help from a shaman to banish the demon from his life and survive. The premise is actually interesting, especially for those who enjoy horror and suspense stories. The problem lies in how the plot unfolds. The shaman quickly starts creating obstacles instead of helping Khem. So, what does the viewer expect from that? That the main character will look for other alternatives but no. Instead, we get tedious scenes of the character washing dishes, working as a house servant. We spend long stretches watching scenes from past lives showing that the two already had some kind of connection. It’s the kind of plot I personally don’t like.
I felt the story lacked substance, especially considering that each episode is almost two hours long. The acting is really poor, especially from Namping. The other actor isn’t great either, but people always use the excuse that he’s supposedly handsome to justify never taking any acting classes.
The positive side is that DMD is investing in its BL series, unlike its competitor GMMTV, which is becoming more and more disappointing by focusing on so-called heterosexual series. The story lacked rhythm, and the episodes should have been condensed to 40 minutes at most.
The romance part is also weak and practically nonexistent..

uninteresting story
Absurdly boring story, the worst bl I've seen this year without a doubt, all the scenes are absurdly boring, the countless scenes of them at school, in a setting where nothing was happening, uninteresting dialogues that went far from a romance that is expected in a BL work, the actors without any chemistry, people always shouted slow burn, now there are countless slower stories that go somewhere. And those scenes with the teachers? who cared? Was this review helpful to you?
I liked
I find it funny that GMMTV hits the mark much more with the larkons than with the BLs. It's true that 4 episodes make the story more concise and interesting. What I liked the most about this series was the dynamic between Parn and Nani. Prem, in my opinion, still has the same bad acting as always, but even he is better here than in the BL Revamp. I found it a series with humor and drama in the right places, and the story isn't entirely new Hollywood has already tackled this subject in the movies Get Out and Midsommar. Overall, I really enjoyed it.Was this review helpful to you?
