Title Fighting for Love Spoiler
in the novel there is much more going between Amai and CYQ and if only drama scenario would follow up that part…
They should have stuck to the romance in the novel and followed some of the basic structure of the plot because their characters together make sense more than this ML. I don't get why they felt the need to make this change in the plot. Even Cui Yan's death was like an after thought in this drama. If the novel was written like this drama I doubt it would be popular.

They ruined the story by trying to veer too much from the basic structure of the novel with this forced romance with the ML (skimmed through the novel to get an idea of what this drama was based on because of my disappointment). There was no proper build up that makes viewers even root for them or care. They seem better off as friends than romantic partners. I think of what could have been if some of the characters were better written. I'm also annoyed that the ML killed Cui Yan, considering that he wasn't even targeting him and it was just treated like nothing. I tried but unless something changes in 2 more episodes I might wait to see how it ends before continuing.
