i just finished episodes 1-4. it started off really good, but by the middle of episode 4, i’m just like, okay, doesn’t ANYONE know how to say no?!?! like, i get what the show tries to do. i understand that. but episode 4 drives me insane because it’s such a preventable disaster. at like six different points the guy could simply say, “hey guys actually.. i’m not rich.” problem solved. i know that pride is a powerful chemical in the brain. people will sometimes choose humiliation, stress, and elaborate lies rather than experience one moment of embarrassment. this episode just pushes that everyday tendency to a tragic extreme. like… UNREALISTICALLY extreme. this show clearly wants to push moral situations to the max, and that’s part of its style. but for me, the strength of the earlier episodes was that the characters’ choices still felt believable.…when the situations become too unrealistic, the impact of the message starts to weaken. even still…the series has a bold concept and a memorable central character in nanno... when it balances its dark themes with believable human behavior, it’s incredibly compelling. also, kitty does an absolute incredible job at portraying the character.
i just finally binged all 8 episodes that are out.. and honestly, at first i was like WOW this story is actually good!! like, im super invested in knowing who the killer is (im pretty sure i already know… i suspected it from the very beginning) but like.. the whole joong/dunk BL aspect of it seems so weirdly placed.. LOL.. like, my dudes. this is not the time to be all coming on super strong to each other and super flirty and trying to start a random ass relationship. they’re over here dealing with all these dead bodies every day and meanwhile jade is like ..obsessed with chasing kamin for some reason 😆😆
like. one minute: forensic tension, ominous lighting, morally gray suspects. next minute: jade looking at kamin like he’s just discovered gravity and is prepared to personally reinvent romance while bodies are literally being wheeled past.
like jade is operating on “i see a cute boy, therefore I must pursue” energy while kamin is out here trying to solve multiple homicides. it creates this almost absurd contrast.
maybe it’s because i’m watching it analytically. i code websites for work and for fun. my brain likes structural coherence. i don’t know 😆 anyway, im genuinely hooked. i’m still excited to watch the last two episodes. like i said im pretty sure i know who is behind the killings (2 people) and i think most of us suspect the same thing. i also genuinely thought dunk’s acting was getting better. it looked like he stopped doing the head-bobbing thing he always did LOLLL but according to the comments on here, its still pretty bad. i honestly thought he was super awkward in the kiss scenes. like.. so stiff. anyway. ahhhh. i’m excited for the rest.
i’m sorry but i am SOOOO OFFGUN CODEDDDD LOLLL this has been the best episode so far, idk how many times i paused it and backtracked so it would last longer, i feel like ive been watching it for 3 hours now and i finally finished it LOLLL!! i am an absolute SUCKER for the toxic relationships!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 🙌🏻
This complicated mess of a show is perfection! We are simply not talking enough about Off's acting in this series.…
omggggg this comment!!!!❤️❤️i agree with everything you said!! i keep thinking too, like, HOW can pheem like jira that much?! how many times have they even hung out at this point?! i mean to me it feels like one of those casual flings, nothing to really get obsessed with the other person over! but omggggg. the acting in this is so amazing. jsut incredible
okay yeah so everyone’s complaining about the fixed ship and how gun/dew’s kiss is blah but have you been watching the same show?!? jira ADMITTED that he loves red flags. either admitted it or his friend admitted it for him, whatever, we saw that he is passionate about red flags. maybe he thinks he wants to try and go for the “safer” and “nice” guy but as much as he tries, he’s not into it. that would explain the kiss scenes obviouslyyyy 😭 idk.. maybe it’s just be because i always love the toxic relationships……..
can’t believe i’m just now watching this …..😭 i am on episode 10 now and it’s one of the best BLs i’ve seen in soooo long. and ive seen SO MANY (see my watch list!!!) i cannot stop watching this!! so much green flag-ness everywhere!!! and now LYKN is coming to New York in september… im going to kick myself if i don’t go see them!!!!!!!!!!!
This is my first Thai GL and I'm loving it so far. Anyone have any recommendations for me to add to my list? I…
i will tell you the absolute best one is Pluto. (Namtan and Film) i don’t think anything else compares right now as far as GLs. another really good one that i would rate 2nd is Loyal Pin. (Becky/Freen) another popular one is Gap… although i personally did not care for Gap (another series with Becky/Freen)
i just came back to rewatch this after a year. the first time i watched it i thought it was okay, but this time around it was amazing. idk why, i felt the same way with my school president. i didn’t like it much at first but after rewatching it a year later i loved it so much. maybe the nostalgia. maybe because i watched Only Friends first last year, then this, and this seemed mild compared to that hahahaha. the story was great in this. yes, there were some major plot holes though. i absolutely agree with the comment from Boho (3 comments down from me) like what was the point in the story other than the romances? nothing really happened in the end. but in all honesty First and Khao just ate in this, i love them so much!!
this drama was just super disappointing to me for some reason. it started off pretty cool, but what happened? The story started pissing me off. The characters were so predictable, but also did things that i just did not understand. Like what was up with Mond’s character?? Nakan spent almost the whole series playing this villain but the whole time he was on the good side? why didn’t he just explain all that shit to Mark up front at the beginning? like what was his motivation for acting like a villain to everyone and randomly killing off Neo’s character? The Mom character Thara was too predictable. even the little twist at the end with Nakan acting like he was going back to Thara’s side but he actually was still good, i even predicted that too!! like i just don’t know man. Joss and Gawin’s acting was great. Mond stood out for me, maybe i’m biased because i just loooove him 😅 i was pissed when he randomly died too!! the story was just all over the place. they never really explained the “golden blood” enough. the ENDING. was. SO. CHEESY. like one of the cheesiest endings ive ever seen, even for a Thai BL drama because they can typically be pretty cheesy. i think i may have been cringing for the last 20ish minutes of the final episode!
i finally started watching this cause i loved jack and joker!! it’s so good!! but now im on episode 5 and what the heckkkk why are their friends so annoying!!!!! LOL stop pushing those other two together!!!!!!! so frustrating 🤣
