Exactely. It would be very unfair to compare MGB with ThamePo and P10L. At least ThemPo could have relied on LYKN larger fanbase from the start. On the other hand, P10L was an assemble series where the majority of the cp were already official or known.
To all JossGawin fans who are worried about them not having a new project in the future (aside from OFDO), I want to bring you some numbers and reassuring facts.
1)We know that the engagement numbers are important to gmmtv so lets look at them. So far, on X these are the trending for each ep: EP1 ->193k+ EP2 ->209k+ EP3 ->206k+ EP4 ->200k+ EP5 ->250k+ EP6 ->310k+ EP7 ->420k+ EP8 ->555k+ EP9 ->666k+ You may think that the start of the show's trending (from ep1 to ep4) was kinda low but stable, meanwhile , from ep5 onward it's a constant growth.
Having shown you that, do you know which other series did worst trendwise? Here some: Only Boo! (my babies!), Kidnap (RIP OhmLeng), Wandee Goodday (praying for MoR) and US (Mim is my QUEEN). What are those series have in common? Almost all the Main Lead actors have already a series announced. (And we know EmiBonnie will have a series next year).
2)Even if you think that MGB is the trash of the trash, lets check the history of some gmmtv's series and cp. ForceBook started with Enchanté. And my tomafox heart got crushed. JoongDunk started with Star In My Mind and Hidden Agenda. And I was so infuriated. JimmySea started with ViceVersa. And it fell flat hard for me.
You can see the pattern, right? Even if a cp starts with a "bad series", what does gmmtv do? They give to the cp a new series. They don't abbandon them (unless the cp mutually agrees to break up). In some cases, they even give them 2 series (in the same year) in order to rehabilitate or elevate the cp: ForceBook got A Boss and A Babe and Only Friends. SeaKeen got Head2Head and MuTeLuv. OhmLeng (before the break up) got Only Friends Dream On and MuTeLuv.
In conclusion, whatever your opinion of MGB or JossGawin is, they are not stopping here. They won't split. Don't worry. Their future is bright. Their journey has just started :)
