As someone who had no idea Joong had a ship before Dunk, I agree with you. This is from a total third party point of view. I just started getting to know JoongDunk and am slowly falling in love with them and their personalities. They have excellent chemistry and their personalities quite complement each other. However Dunk does not have excellent acting skills. In the dramas Hidden Agenda and Star In My Mind, Dunk was not a strong actor unlike Joong. Dunk had trouble showcasing some emotions and seemed a bit awkward when acting. That said however, in his most recent drama The Heart Killers, Dunk has tremendously improved. His acting feels more natural and less awkward. His character's emotions are also more clearly felt by me as a viewer. His acting still has that slight small awkward feel to it but I have no doubt Dunk would act well in this upcoming drama of his. He is improving and I have no doubt he will continue to do so.
HCC and MY are two totally different dramas. The only similarities are that the male lead is a somewhat jobless versatile handyman and that both dramas take place in the countryside. Other than that, I don't see similarities.
