Amazing drama with
TLDR: This is now one of my favourite C-Dramas and on my top recommended list for romance dramasTW: Kidnap, Bullying, Trauma, Secrets
Story: I have to say I wasn't sure I would like this drama as it seemed like it was too simple of a story but the acting and overall production made it so much fun to watch. The FL is a tough, hard working woman who has experienced her share of trauma and bullying from growing up poor and trying to make it amongst elitists, while the ML is the typical rich and about to "inherit" high position type guy.
It starts of with the classic MIL not liking the fiancée and tries to meddle bits and a lot of covering up lies and deception but evolves beautifully as everyone gets to know each other. There are some moments where you just want to tell them to talk already and tell each other but to me, In this drama it is far less frustrating because the reasons to not say some things are grounded in the characters experiences and do make sense.
I love the couples development and growth and really like that despite the intrigue becoming a larger focus in the later episodes it does not feel too contrived or stretched for me but actually has managed to keep me well engaged. And I am the kind to get distracted FAST so I am quite impressed.
Acting: I just love Zhao Lusi in this. It is so nice to see her away from the naive "Bambi" role and in a strong independent one - although I did like her previous dramas as well with the odd exception. It really shows her acting range and ability to bring across complex emotions.
I loved the kids acting he was very believable as moody teenager and his interactions with the ML and FL were amazing. Everyone else was brilliant to I thought but I really liked those two the best
Production wise I felt it is beautifully shot with nice locations and mhsic/scenery matching the mood.

Very Short with simple story but a fun watch
I'll start by saying I do get immensely frustrated by short dramas especially where an episode is 12.45 minutes and 3-5 minutes of those are intro and extro so the actual story is only 7-9 minutes long so it does take the enjoyment off a little when watching.TLDR: Overall I do enjoy it and look forward to the next episodes being released and will likely albeit grumpily rematch it some day to spot things I missed
Setting: Fantasy world outside of our modern times.
Story: It's a simple enough premise. One person has longevity and craves release after watching too many people die and another has a short life span left and craves to live. They need each other to reach their goals. We have standard jealousy, betrayal, revenge and angry broody man falls for sweet cheerful girl then regrets wanting to die thing going but it is fun to watch and (at least for me) not predictable enough to take away from enjoyment
Acting: I thought everyone matched their roles well and will look them up in other work later.

Good overall but nothing unique - I still loved it anyway :)
Please bear with me as I have not written many reviews and usually do not manage to watch shows within the same year of release but I hope this helps:I want to start with a general overview which will include some possible trigger warnings (SPOILERS) so please only read if you don't mind knowing these bits
TW: This drama includes a very graphic depiction of a car accident, mention of sexual assault and child abuse
Happy Ending?: Yes
Redemption: None for the main "villain"
Tropes: This is a Noona romance with the classic misunderstood "bad boy" and many classic misunderstandings and links to the past that could be easily resolved with communication
Cast
I really enjoyed the cast in this drama and thought they all fit their roles well and did a great job. I am quite enjoying seeing more of Zhang Yu Xi and found she had amazing chemistry with everyone. I loved the grandmothers and found their characters written just perfectly for this drama. They all conveyed emotions well and there were several roles providing comic relief amidst the more tragic story lines
Story
The story is nothing new but I really liked that the "villain" of the drama became who she was for fully understandable reasons. it did not feel like it was just a quickly written excuse. And like with many traumatised people who did not receive the help they would have needed, reason and rational thinking does not always apply. I thought this was well portrayed and while quite OTT it followed internal logic and did not seem like a simple add on.
I did struggle a bit with the initial reasons for the FL to want the ML other than "we need them to date for the story" so this part did seem overly forced and rushed but once things settled into the main part of the story it worked well.
Length
I found the episodes were about the right length and while the drama could have been a few episodes shorter it did not feel entirely unnecessary and all worked well.
Ending
I do like my happy endings so I was pleased that the characters followed their paths. I did quite like that the "villain" did not suddenly have a changer of heart and remained consistent with her own character. Some dramas tie things up overly neatly and while it was a little bit like that at least there was no unrealistic sudden insight and permanent character change for her.
Overall I will likely watch it again in a few years and see if i notice things I missed but won't put it into my all time favourites. It is a nice romance for those who love some trauma healing, Noona romances and mild angst

Lovely
I came across this drama because as I always enjoy Lee Min-hos acting skills despite usually not being too keen on space themed dramas and admittedly largely watching romantic comedies/romance or action dramas.I thoroughly enjoyed Lee Min-hos acting and the chemistry between him and Gong Hyo-jin was perfect for me. I just love how much range he has in terms of his roles and his ability to express a lot of emotion just with his eyes.
The story itself was a tad far fetched for me in terms of logical reasoning as to why what they were doing was necessary to do in space but it didn't take away from the casts dynamic acting so I enjoyed it anyway and to be fair many shows I like are not on the realistic side (I'm escaping from reality after all xD)
I am more of a happy ending person myself so I would just add that for those who want a pure happy ending over a sweet/tragic one it may be not on the top list.
