as a woman who hates romcoms (with some really rare exceptions) you're wrong, it's because romcoms have nothing new to offer, they are done over and over again, same story with different cast, they are boring and too cringe, the two leads often act like they are 12 despite being adults, don't get me started on the childhood friend trope i hate it so much lol.
I do love romance but there has to be more in the story than just two people bickering endlessly and talking about their feelings. That is my personal opinion.

Also romcom is a sub-genre of romance, a drama can have romance but not be considered a romcom

i've never liked a romcom xd unless there's a fantasy/mystery element in it, but i do enjoy romance without the cheesy/cringe comedy element

anything that doesn't have cheesy/cringe romance tbh, there are many dramas i liked those that i listed are really a few compared to how many i've watched
