That is only first half Yeongrye. All that poor family backstory IS LOST from the 2nd half to the ending. I didnt forget her character "initial purpose", I love her character in the first half, but it is all toned down to stupid love chase. Her supposed character, the one who love to study, the one who want to support her family- all gone.
At least they have a promising writing up till first half, there is a bit by bit part to show her positive ambitious character ( still studying in the middle of night, etc ), they show her how dedicated she is to upbring her family and at the same time care for her fellow co worker in the accident conflict, running to ask about law-- but as I said, not to be mentioned ever again throughout the story as if the writer forgot her "ambitious" story. I want that version of her and I bet majority of audience feel the same.
Plus im not hating her, im just done writing her silly part of the story, im going to write Jonghui's part and the rest of character that the writer ruin.

timeskip jonghui's situation seems ridiculous, what is the chance of that? i thought i was watching penthouse for a moment. anw she should be planning escape part. 2 now as she finally found yeongrye, there is no way she will stay in that house forever.

once again, it is completely normal to compare and criticizing any adaptation/sequel/prequel from the same franchise story, just don't judge other as haters only because they have different opinions or tastes from yours. i scrolled down to see "hate comment" but I see none 🤷♀️.
love it! i wish there is more scenes with im sol and her disability struggle as the first hospital scene caught my interest but i still enjoy it regardless. i will check kim hyeyoon and byeon wooseok next drama for sure!
