it feels weird seeing yan bingyun very not... frigid. i think they should've transitioned that better rather than…
It is because 2 very different actors are playing him. The interpretation changes. It doesn't help that the new Yan Bingyun has a very youthful face compared to Xiao Zhan whose face is much more "mature" and rigid.
Idk whether I'd like this one or not, since a lot of Thai dramas that have been coming out these days are either…
I've been more into One31 channel than Channel 3 lately. One31 is making an active effort to branch out of their comfort zone and also providing new drama qualities. They are also not picky about their leading stars, even supporting actors can become main leads. Their scripts are also branching out from simple love stories. Although they aren't exactly "there" yet, especially that VIP series they adapted from Korea lol, it was very cringe. Although they have greatly advanced in settings, makeup, and outfits.
I feel Channel 3 is confused about what it wants to become. It is stuck in its glory days and keeps creating the same drama and script over and over. It also doesn't really try to improve settings, props, clothes, or makeup. Channel 3 is also really rigid in that only certain girls can be main leads and only certain guys get main lead roles, which resulted in their actors and actresses going freelance/One31.
Channel 7/Bugaboo is comfortable where it is. It doesn't try to be something it is not but it also doesn't try to evolve. This is a good and bad thing because it has a unique identity. But on the other hand this means they are producing the same stuff over and over.
okay so remember that aunt of dhevaphan?? so basically she married the musician and had a son which is nupuk's…
Yes Jaipisut is from the Dhevaphrom sister who ran away's bloodline. This series plotline will have her thinking she might be Wilailampa's daughter but since the books are widely known and the casting has already been revealed we know whose daughter is who and theres not much suspension lol.
Khun Jak is so stiff haha. The refreshing vibe of a newbie actor. But he is so masculine and reminds me of Andrew in his old days. I like the character of Khun Jak and his tenderness yet tough outward appearance so far.
Episode 1 Jaipisut is not my favorite but I hope she grows on me since I saw thw actress in a Netflix film and she was lovely thete. I already see some Thai cliche tropes of hate to love haha.
The filming, music, and set is very old time Thai film of the 80s and 80s 🤣 I love it. It suits Khun Jak so well and that motorcycle lol, perfect. Khun Jak has the image of a greaser and it's so lovely.
Aa you can tell I'm smitten with Khun Jak.
Very interesting episode 1 with Esther making a cameo as Wilailampa. I loved Kwanruethai and I can see myself loving Jaipisut too.
What Kwanruethai and Jaipisut have done well is increase the Juthathep family scenes. I think it's lovely and gives fans some stuff to nibble one.
The ending song also hints that Kwanruethai will also make a cameo so I'm excited for that!
Ahhhhh James Ji came back for a cameo in episode 13. It was lovely to see that little snippet of Marati and Khunchai Puttipat talking about the past and their viewpoints. Krongkaew felt a little off but that's just me being nitpicky.
What you actually said is quite my impression too. There's a lot of things that is missing in Laorchan that was…
It might have to do with the director honestly. I recognize him as an actor from older series. He usually works with Off Pongsak as assistant director. Off Pongsak worked on the original Khunchai Rachanon and is a very well known director. However OFF declined to work on Laorchan.
Correction : Yada is not a newbie but has previous works. Wonderful they've casted mostly experienced actresses…
That is indeed their goal. Channel 3 is trying to promote a new generation of actors through this "Giant" series. Gina from Laorchan is especially someone they are heavily promoting.
1. Mikey has alot of potential. Paajaew never misses with her Male leads. From Tik in Wanida to Nadech to James Ji they have all become Channel 3 big star names. Mikey looks like James Ji so the casting was spot on. He's also built not too bulky but unexpectedly muscled for his baby face, suiting for a military doctor. He has alot of potential for his future if he can continue improving his acting.
2. At first I didn't like Yada, however I find her acting is decent for a newbie. I am impressed and hope she can develope her career well.
3. A Paajaew production never fails. I've been enjoying everything. The dialogues and scene transitions are also MUCH BETTER than Laorchan. Things flow smoother. There are no random camera angles or cutscenes. I must also praise the simple yet clearcut plot: Stopping the drug distribution and finding Marati. Laorchan plotline was overly complicated with a lackluster villain as well as the rushed ending of Laorchan finding out her real identity which was rushed and severely forced (making her Dhevaprom just to fulfill the promise).
4. The supporting cast. I must praise the supporting cast. It is perfect. The Older Marati makes me chuckle because she is EXACTLY how I imagine Marati would grow up to be like. A little bitter, a little wary, yet still retaining that pride of being noble born and higher than everyone attitude. Mali is PERFECT. They've chosen the comedic route for Mali but she is a good actress and does her job well versus Ying in Laorchan who you can see is still very stiff and can not carry the weight of her role (I also blame the very stiff dialogue in Laorchan vs Kwanruthai). Unlike Laorchan, they've brought a veteran to play a central villain role. I praise this decision because it makes it easier for the audience to have a clear cut engagement with the storyline. Overall, I the supporting roles do their jobs well and the acting is much more natural. Plus the comedic factor makes this series a chill watch.
4. What makes this series shine for me is the time invested in the characters. I got to know Kwan as a person. She's outwardly strong, tomboyish, and has a strong sense of justice and filial piety. However inside, she is just like any girl who wants love and to be a girl. She's soft but can not show her weak side. Khun Chat is the opposite. His appearance is soft, he has a foolishly sweet smile but Khun Chat is very mature. Khun Chat is dependable and understands boundaries. Khun Chat is a lovely gentlemen yet very patriotic and has a good heart. We see this through their actions, words, as well as props and settings. Another aspect is Khun Chat and Khun Ked. I love their sibling relationship. The hand holding, the physical touches that show they are comfortable with eachother. I honestly found it made Khun Chat so much more endearing to me.
5. Overall this show is very traditional in its tropes and plot. However it is this simplicity that makes the series solid.
now I need episode 5&6 😭I envy those who has access to Netflix Thailand 😭
If you can understand Thai, you can watch alot of existing Thai Dramas on SeesanTv for around $15.99/month. It also has Chinese, Korean, Indian, American series on it in Thai Dub as well as original. It always has the latest series and updates very fast.
If its done right I love me a cheating drama whether its the husband or wife. They got this one up on y tube but…
This one is totally worth it! It does not get dragged on and I feel its pretty realistic, going through the steps of divorce court and custody court as well as other types.
I hope someone picks up the subbing for it! Fortunately I can understand Thai so I have been able to watch it as it comes out.

The little snippet at the end especially felt out of pace.
A lovely sweet drama with just a good teinkle of angst.
