This is a good and worthwhile drama to watch. The acting from the entire cast is amazing.

1. Unlike the typical Thai unfaithful husband plotline, this one gets right into it. It doesn't take multiple episodes and crying scenes.

2. I enjoy the court room scenes. It seems pretty faithful.

3. The mistress does an amazing job! I am truly in love with her acting. She makes the character so in furiating. Yet I also appreciate that this is exactly how I imagine a mistress who knowingly cheats with someone's husband would rationalize the cheating.

4. One31 really loves their unfaithful husbands 😅

5. Looking forward to episode 5 and 6 this coming week!

Is this based on her actual life story?? Like is the person playing her ex husband the actual person or??..i'm…
A little more to this: Songkarn and Aff actually already had problems right from when they married and before they married. I think the cheating may have been the final nail but even before Matt Pereenee who is the alleged third party, Songkarn was rumored to be a playboy and unfaithful. He was also constantly partying and away from home. Basically their marriage was doomed for many years before Matt entered the picture.

I just started following Aff, I don't know too much about her yet. Can someone explain to me why Aff and her ex-husband…
Aff's husband isn't just a police officer. He is also heir to a resort hotel and his family is rich. In Thai terms he is a "Hi-so". When she married him, she got alot of land and assetts. And to be blunt alot of these Thai Actresses usually date "Hi-so" men and marry them. I don't want to say they are gold diggers but honestly thats what they are. If not, there wouldn't be so many ActressxHi-so couples that last maybe 10 years at the longest.

Aff's marriage wasn't exactly stable from the beginning. There was always rumors and scandals back in the days regarding her and her husband before they got married. Then right after their marriage, he was partying and never home. It was never just the cheating that broke their marriage. It was their different lifestyles and worldviews. Tbh I don't even know why they got married. He was a redflag from the beginning and known to be a playboy.

The fact that a thai drama has the title "marital justice" is hilarious since in most of them the wife would fight…
Bua isn't fighting for Met. Bua is mainly fighting for her son. Bua initially wants to maintain a perfect family for her son even though she herself may be unhappy. That's why she settled for suing the mistress and not a divorce. Now however, Met is forcing Bua to divorce and destroy the family. Bua is starting to realize that her son, Not, needs to know whats going on instead of being kept in the dark as "protection".

Title Marital Justice Spoiler
I think this serial is about the case in Thailand about a wife that sue the mistress and won. I fully agree women…
Bua went for the mistress in the lawsuit because she wanted to protect her marriage. By suing the mistress once and winning, she can set a precedent where she can once again sue if the mistress does not stop messing with her husband. This is what Tre, the lawyer suggested since Bua does not want to divorce. If Bua does divorce, she will lose the house since it is under her husband's name and was a property bought before marriage. Although she helped pay for it, she did not save any receipt proof so can not prove ownership and it is not a marital asset. Also, Bua does not want her son to see his parents divorce. She is in the stages of denial and desperate to protect her son even though she herself may be unhappy. Episode 5/6 we will finally see the divorce between Met and Bua since Met has sent Bua divorce papers from the court.

Definitely one of those dramas that are worth it. It's slow paced and more of an autobiography style drama following a fictional woman and her life through 3 marriages. She's calm, collected, and mainly at peace with her life. We don't see many portrayals of this type of character as lead in Thai Dramas. Aom Piyada is eternally beautiful and this type of role suits her extremely well. I've rewatched this drama maybe 10 times now throughout the years.

Gurl, you should've been one of the writers, this would've been so good, would've hyped us more, since we see…
As Rambler stated Khun Chai Rachanon was not heavy on romance either but featured a bit more. There was also more of a "journey" and the audience can go on that journey with the characters better.

I don't think it is the fault of the author. I am okay if there is no romance. However the script and Director is what I didn't like about this series. There are alot of weird decisions and editting that was made. I don't know all the behind the scene decisions but I watched it in Thai and the dialogues are very choppy and not natural. They use a lot of random jump scenes and camera angles. Overall I do notice the Thai Audience say the same things as me.

You hit the nail. This one had very lacking romance. The romance of the supporting roles are also set in stone so the audience were not able to form a connection as there was no journey for them to follow. No growth. Unfortunately Gulf as the male lead has such a low presence in this series and I am starting to this was not his fault but the writer and director who made a fatal mistake. It also does not reflect well when the supporting role (Prince and Khunchai Tharaton as well as FL) have much bigger roles in this than the ML.

The Khunchai Tharatorn series was not very popular with Thai Audience. However it set the mood for what the series was about (Promise with Dhevaphrom). There was more romance development in it too. From that series the FL was able to become a well known actress as well. It did help expose the series and made more people toon into them. James and Bella's series was probably peak. Bella and James were made into top tier A list Actors of Ch3 from their Khunchai Puttiphat series. Wilailampa or Esther from Khunchai Ronnipee also became famous from this series. However ch3 didn't appreciate her and she has found more sucess on One31 as a Female Lead versus Ch3 where they forced her into supporting roles.

One charm of the Khunchai series was the brotherhood bond. In all series they interacted and discussed problems together. It was so popular that they basically promoted things together as the Khunchais. That bond is lacking in the new generation and based on interviews, it's because the directors don't really work with eachother. The directors have been doing their own things from makeup and props etc.

Anyways I do hope to see improvement in the following series because the director for it is a veteran known for hit series.

Gurrlll, u should join marketing communication. Your script is brilian, that's why when i watching eps 1, i feel…
Yeah the brief and lackluster introductions, the rushed storyline, and lack of characterization really made this first season fail. A lot of actors they employed are young and inexperienced. They can not carry the major production. At least the Jutthathep series had seasoned directors and supporting roles. This new series replaces nearly all with newbies. The main actors can not deliver and sadly the supporting actors also could not deliver. Ch3 is trying to promote new stars to compete with One31. However Ch3 is too rushed with this decision and it will have a significant impact on them.

As of Episode 7, I'm very disappointed? Gina and Gulf have no chemistry. I am not convinced this guy fell for her at first sight. The introduction of the Entire Juttathep Family was also very Lackluster.

I think a more iconic way this entire series could have been opened was introducing a grand party at Episode 1 where the entire Juttathep family was introduced. This lets old and new viewers know who is who. Then at this party a letter arrives that shocks the great grandma. This would kick start the series and force the next generation grandsons into marrying Dhevaphrom girls and unknowingly falling for women who are secretly Dhevaphrom. Instead we get a random Paris Scene? I thibk episode 1 sets the mood for the entire series and episode failed to do that. I am worried since supposedly this was Channel 3's high budget series.

I agree, with all this, especially the acting, gulf may not be experienced (although he has done 2 shows and movie…
I also think Mint has improved alot. And Yeah, the last time I saw Bomb was as the Killer Chef in Maggie's drama series where she was a single mother. He was still very stiff in that (this was like 2019-2023) can't recall the exact year it came out.
On Dhevaprom: Dujupsorn Mar 10, 2024
I saw Kongthap Peak for like 5 seconds in Laorchan and so far of all the new Dhevaprom Male Leads, Peak has the best aura of a "Khunchai" as well as the best acting. This series seems like it will be filled with tension. Will be looking forward to it.

Me either. The Chemistry for Khunchai Rachanon was not there. Taew is a great actress and we see her improve as time goes on but Bomb was not a good actor and still continues to be very stiff at acting to this day.

Out of all the images of the couples, this pair’s image really caught my eye. Their synopsis is also the most…
Nok Sinjai is a little bit too old to be playing Piang Kwang 😅 especially since they are the youngest couple.

Title Dhevaprom: Laorchan Spoiler
Oh, they changed the title. What does Dhevaprom mean?
Dhevaprom is the family that all the female leads come from.

The Dhevaprom series is based off of the original Khunchai series which features the dads of the male leads of Dhevaprom series.

In Khunchai series Juthathep and Dhevaprom made a promise to marry their daughters and sons. However this promise kept being broken by Juthathep whose sons fell in love with other woman.

Now, those 5 Khunchai's have had sons and unknowingly, each son falls for a daughter with Dhevaprom bloodline, thus fulfilling the promise between two families.

Episode 1 Post Review

1. The setting and props are very nicely done. It is evident that Channel 3 really went all out for this series. It will clash with modern times since it is the 1980s transition where we start seeing more modern clothes and fashion. This might throw off some watchers who saw the Khunchai series which took place in the 1950s. The fashion choice for Gina or Laorchan was very on point. She dressed very "women empowerment" style and some of her outfits came right out of the 1980s.

2. Male Lead is not yet a seasoned actor and the Phut he brings out is lackluster right from season 1. His baby face also does not help. Ironically his predecessor Khunchai Rachanon was also a very stiff actor.

3. Gina as Laorchan is very meh? I've seen her series with James who also played Khunchai Phuttipat and she has not improved in acting since that drama. It would have been better to pair Gina with a more mature actor as her face is not the type that fits well with baby face males, especially with how they have dressed her in this series.

4. Bom who plays Khunchai Rachanon 30 years later is very handsome and could very likely be Bomb 30 years later. They did on casting. He acts well. However for anyone who watched the early series will note that Bom plays a more serious and intimodating Rachanon. This could be accounted to Aging which will mature anyone. Soi Fah is also calmer and more motherly in her 30 years later version. But she still retains a very regal air about her. I think the casting for them was perfect.

5. The OST is meh? As a stand alone its a great song and vocals. However used as the opening of this series. I seriously question whoever made this decision. It's like watching a modern 2024 series and not a 1980 series. It also does not fit the vibes of the script.

6. How fitting that the first Kunchai Series started with Artifacts and the first Dhevaphrom series should also feature an artifact.

7. Glad the Great Aunt was able to reprise her role. She is a phenomal actress. Any period drama needs her in it lol.
