it's still better than doing nothing. it's not like the problems will automatically disappear. of course there's always pros and cons to some changes but if pros is >> cons i say why not try.
it's still in discussion though, i doubt other platforms will be onboard.

but they all have base salary right? so if a drama somehow got buried, everyone will get affected, it's still fair in my eyes.

That rule doesn't only affect actors/actress but all the staffs including directors/scriptwriters/producers as well. so everyone will be responsible for the drama, more or less depends on their amount of work in the production. I think it's fair because the drama flops or is successful is due to the effort of the whole crew, not just 1 person. actors/actresses if they want to avoid bad projects, they need to pick better scripts/production team.

it will solve the SF4 problem... the involved parties will think twice about wanting to ruin their partners and the drama because it would hurt their income.
That side could do it because they already got paid all the money already so they didn't care about the drama's success. But now they will have to care.

If i'm being honest, I'm tired of all these 'everyone should behave well' types of posts. We're all CZY fan but we are our own person too. Everyone will have different thoughts and feelings about certain subjects. It's not like it's the only thing I talk about here. I actually like discussing about many topics regarding CZY, negative or positive because I want to hear other fans opinions too. Billing issue is just one thing. As long as that narrative still surrounds him, i'm afraid i won't be able to stay silent about this.
And no one is insulting anyone or actors here. Worst is just me saying someone is bad at acting or some drama/director is bad lol if that calls insults, you have never seen real insulting towards CZY.

So Tencent is suggesting a new rule about payment to actors and drama crews that i find interesting: Everyone will get a base payment and the rest will depend on wether the drama is a success or not. If success, more bonus, if flop, no bonus. This applies to everyone in the drama crews (including actors, actresses, directors etc). And they don't care about the seniority and connections anymore, only give benefits based on pure results.
What do you think?

Personally, I support this new rule. Tencent is obviously trying to lessen their financial burden of flopped projects but it would actually improve some problems in this industry.
- This will make everyone take their jobs more seriously because now it will affect their salary. drama crews will be more strict with selecting the right cast, not just focus on the high traffic with bad acting skills. Scripts will be written or selected more carefully as well. actors/actresses can't half-ass their jobs just because they're popular anymore.
- There would be less situation like SF4 where one side getting paid sh*t lot of money but went to ruin the whole crew in the end for selfish reasons.
- Will this also solve the headache about billings? i don't know but it's about time someone touches on this too.

I actually saw horses while traveling before (for tourists to ride and take photos). those still have longer legs than these 😂

he already has a bad rep anyway, nothing he does will change antis' opinions. let them talk. why does he have to give up his self-worth and rights to satisfy others? everyone in this industry is fighting for their rights, including him. he will prove that he is worth the 1st billing.
