the rumored costume drama, it's not that that script is bad. it's that it's average but it's better than bad. if the change is good, the leads are good at acting and the directors are skilled, the final drama might still be good.

i'm not happy with the original plot too but if he choses it i'm gonna trust him ig. sometimes the script will be changed beyond recognition so i'm hoping this is the case. hopefully at least the costume is beautiful and fits him and his co-star is someone with decent acting

2. they don't care about the script or acting much, they just want new jobs
CZY is a serious actor and he considers many things before choosing a script. i've watched his interviews, he once even asked to do testing with his female co-star to see if they have good synergy...

because it's hard to find a new (good script) in that short amount of time. good dramas take years to get ready so the casting must been have all decided for at least 6 month in advance. CZY is not the kind of person who join the film hastily, he usually takes his time to choose the scripts...
