BLOODY FLOWER: A FLOWER THAT BLOOMS YOUR MORAL DILEMMA
Bloody Flower is the kind of drama that keeps you hooked, constantly making you want to know what happens next. Its storyline is gripping and it managed to keep me wanting more. For the story alone, I’d give it a solid 8.5/10.
The female lead is genuinely hateable at times, especially because of the way she hides evidence and manipulates the judgement surrounding a case. Yet, she is also headstrong, which makes her difficult to dismiss as merely a weak or passive character. The drama does a good job of showing how concealing evidence can overturn people’s understanding of the truth.
Then there’s our Lee Woo-gyeom, a character who creates a particularly interesting moral dilemma. Can you truly hate him? I, for one, never did. His character makes you question whether morality is always as simple as judging someone by their actions or whether circumstances, intentions, and the truth behind those actions matter too.
That said, the ending was a little disappointing for me. As someone who reads a lot of manhwa, I’ve come across many stories that end in a similar way, so the conclusion didn’t feel as fresh or satisfying as I’d hoped. Still, the gripping storyline carried the drama for me.
