Actually PY did have some uncertainty or rather some insecurities bring forth some uncertainties, First he had commitment, but he fell for deeper after seeing her current self (not just some childhood sweetheart)and lost himself after her apparent death. Second he fell for her again without knowing her true identity, which leads his confusion whether to pursue or let it go.... He wanted to let go but could not at the same time.
Third after knowing her true identity and considering her lack of acknowledgement of his feelings ( may also include her relationship with ZLJ) he wondered if he should let her go, meaning he is happy as long as she is happy whoever she finds happiness in....
Forth during blind guy case, he concluded that he wants to be with her no matter what through thick and think, doesn't matter she loves him back or not, he will always be there for.... This is first time after knowing her true identity, we get to see his conviction/ resolution for his love towards her.... There was lots insecurities before that ..only after some thoughts, he become passionate.
Forth, after PY becomes blind, he voiced his conviction of not letting her go.... Which to us audience delight, YCW reciprocates and shows same level of conviction towards him, this is the first time, all uncertainties insecurities are demolished, and their love fully established without any third wheel.... Good development of their relationship, to me pretty mature....
They go through lots together, come to understand each other, overcome those confusion, insecurities, uncertainties..... Very good development.
What I like is even after his determination, he gives her choices and she still chooses him and they walk the path together hand in hand

I think she saw PY in ice seller not herself.... It is my opinion, good thing is PY had someone to rely and didn't lose the path, but in her case, she had none, her mother was another victim, she just lost her way and sanity and it is understandable.... Her connection with ice seller I don't find much....

It is most likely director's choice of establishing 2nd lead's relationship groundwork telling audience she can do anything for him.... My opinion is three of them should have held him back, sure 2nd lead could get hurt and build their relationship from there it also works out... So talk about plot hole....working on unnecessary relationship building
YCW talking to him is not going to work because he has guilty feeling towards her. In my opinion it will worsen the situation, I don't think he cannot look into her eyes anymore after her parents death cause is none other than his parents and his subordinate killed them with his own hand.... Even if she continues to be his friend, it will never be the same as before. He cannot bring himself to go to her and corporate with each other in future like nothing happened. Regarding PY talk, it worked out for me.... It was good enough to snap out of it and look for the cause working behind his father and get himself together... Now rushing into things is one aspect of his character as he has done the same earlier (his father 1st death) by killing golden group. No matter whatever or whoever or however it is said to ZLJ.... He will do things like he has done .... But doing in Heyang is one thing, doing in capital where he has no footholds is different, sure he can work with PY and YCW, but he will not go to her... And even if she comes it is not going to work either because as I said earlier. Besides, 2nd lead assured YCW that she is taking care of her.... While she wanted to go, PY reminded her priority of the mastermind case in the capital, after all if mastermind is punished, everything will fall place, ZLJ guilt will lessen, YCW and ZLJ relationship will also kind of normalize. Besides, story is thriller/ suspense crime come love story, focusing on cases is more important, relationship among characters is secondary, in addition given the situation, YCW going to ZLJ is like third wheel, needs to give some credit to 2nd fl.
After PY and YCW recognize each other, they are depending on each other.... She even pondered on soliciting PY help earlier which is now materialized as she needs not hide from him.... It their relationship development, but they are concerned for their friends but they mentioned that they will focus on case at hand first... Which is good enough to me as they have much more concerning things going on.... Don't just focus only relationship, getting priority right is much better than hugging during fights.....
Sure if all four were together it would also work out... But given circumstances, each going their own road is good enough as long as it consistent after all ZLJ had his priority in earlier episodes where he left her alone and YCW still worked out her things and it is good..... Each have their own things to do and they are strong enough to get things done..... So it is not first time that they are doing their own things in their own way......
I don't know if not forgiving is holding grudges. I felt like she let it be with his father's death and not forgiving, why would she even forgive when he did not ask for forgiveness, his son seeking forgiveness is not the same.... His death ends the grudges.... Most importantly, she let the subordinate go who literally killed her parents.... So she holding grudges, I don't know , but forgiveness is another matter all together, for that one needs to repent to get forgiveness... I wonder whether he or the subordinate deserves forgiveness after who knows how many crimes they committed, so letting them go is talks more if one holds grudges, I don't think one can let them go....

Haven't seen after 27 episodes, so not sure if the ending is rushed, however, in past episodes, both ML and FL showed kindness, empathy for blind guy and ice seller daughter, they cared for each other obviously but they also showed care for their friends when 2nd ML was imprisoned and then left Heyang. Even the FL let it be when killer of her family died.... This is the beauty or charm of YCW character... She doesn't show grudges but only shows kindness....and care for people around her.... At least this much I have seen till episode 27.

I think they have cut lots of scenes, still additional 2 or 3 episodes would have been enough to for clarification of lots scenes like initial YCW fall from the cliff, no. 5 of ripple org., rescue of 2nd male from his father's imprisonment, or finding the killer of concubine of the boss of life and death house... Haven't seen after 27 ep, so not sure if the ending is rushed, pace of the drama is good, but definitely needed few more episodes for proper explanation, why did they rush some or cut scenes when it is under 40 episodes anyway ... Who knows!

Not sure if you noticed, Pan Yue held her and used Lightness skill, and on the boat, he was pretty stable but SYZ was not, she seemed a bit unstable during the lading.... Good details by the director and actors...

It is Lightness skill- a martial arts based skill used to fly around in Chinese period/fantasy drama. They always uses this term whenever they want to explain how they can fly... It is Chinese drama thing, like they also seem to walk on water.... Which another martial arts based skill.... Well I am not expert, but this is my understanding based on few Chinese dramas that I have watched so far

This story is more of female centric, so we don't get to see much of male's action, thought process or plannings, we even get to see brief of his traumatized childhood and connection with female (why he loves her and only wants to marry her) in very later episode... So yeah he had some background action going on...
