Hey guys, i am such a big fan of JOf, acting is superb in this drama, everybody is superb , but its almost half…
Like I said so many times before, there's a huge different theme in both season... S1, as you may have watched, tell a story of FX mostly for his heroic action in his fight against power and in my opinion, more of a wuxia drama. Clever boy in the midst of political battle between princes kinda vibe. S2, as many people predict and compare the story with the novel, tell a story how the clever boy is sick and tired being someone's pawn and fight his way becomes one the chess player himself. With his wit and connections he gathered previously in his doomed journey, he swim across the current wave and tried to change the game.
And that is why people often quite disappointed with the s2, because it is not very enjoyable and a bit heavy on the political scheme. You need to watch it with background knowledge of understanding the whole point of the story and politics. And most of all, you need to gasp the S1 story, even you need to learn how to read between the lines (as most of our 1st language is not Chinese), therefore a little understanding in Chinese literature would be better. Don't get me started on the downgraded in the camera, angels, and colors production, for some people, it's a turn off. But for most fans of JOL who really into it, would not complain because how intense the story goes as of 16 episodes. And I am one of them. hihihihi
Well, agreed to you friend...Btw, if you need help in picking those absolutely extraordinary Chinese drama, people…
I believe that your mom is around my age tho.. hahahahaha good writing... hmmmmmm... Go Ahead (2020) is interesting story... Korea will remake this drama for their successful in its motherland China.. I think it will come out this year too.... My suggestion is that you watch both for comparison.. Reset (2022) from Bai Jing Ting is also interesting, and luckily they only have 15 episode, relatively short drama... You can binge-watch it for one day.. hahahahaha Shinning for One Thing (2022), has a medium cast actors overall, not a very famous ones, but the story is interesting, the story-line is not mishap too. Cross Fire (2020)'s is interesting too, for me the story is smooth... For Chinese historical drama, if you like JOL, you must love Nirvana In Fire (2015) too.. or other Zhang Ruo Yun works, Sword Snow Stride (2021)... Story of Kunning Palace (2023), are about politics too... If you feeling a little bit bored and want to laugh and cry because of romance in historical era with based on family value... You can try Love Like the Galaxy (2022) If you feeling a bit dark, you can try The Untamed (2019), Word of Honor (2021)... the kind of type "dark hero"
I've been watching many kinds of films and dramas from various countries ever since I could remember, but Joy…
Well, agreed to you friend... Btw, if you need help in picking those absolutely extraordinary Chinese drama, people in here will gladly help you... You just have to Ask... hehehehe
WHAT? Did you only watch the first 10 mins? i'm so confused.
wait, so if we want to picture a 10ish-year old boy, we should use an 20s actor? wait?what???? I think I remember a lot of famous xianxia or wuxia telling a story about a teacher falling in love with his student tho.... hmmmmm lemme think.. 1. Eternal Love (2017) 2. Story of Kunning Palace (2024) 3. One and Only (2021) what else? ***(These stories show big age gap too between teacher and student)*** I don't think it's inappropriate to use child actor as they don't do any of the "falling in love" scene anyway, they just helping and using each other... They just picturing that this child was saved from danger when he was 10 years old, that's all. There's nothing wrong with criticizing improper things, but one should have a big and open mind before one speaks their mind...
Does anyone know why Yan Bing Yun's adoptive father is in prison?
Because his son "killed" FX, his being in prison will not provoke a negative comment for his clan and prevent a suspicious cahoot about FX death... Like I said, this drama is not for everyone, we need to at the very least think harder about politics and reasoning... compare to the s1, the s2 is heavier on the intrigues and politics... s1's more about FX's martial skills and power...
Missducky88 is right but to elaborate further:baba (爸爸) = modern day colloquial term for 'daddy'a'ba / ah…
ahhh i c i c Thanks for the elaboration and very clear explanation <3 <3 for as Chinese or English is not my 1st language, this is very helpful... thankyouuuu <3
