Starting from 1st jan 2025, Youku dramas with more than 16 episodes won't be approved.... It should be 16 eps or less like kdramas.... However for Historical Costume drama this rule won't be applicable.. Self-produced dramas and original script dramas need to be closer to Netflix standard... So basically all the Modern dramas to be filmed next year will have 16 episodes or less...

XianYu is very likely to be released in March.. Youku is rushing to release their dramas that have received licence already due to the new rule starting from January..
