You are missing part of the plot I think. So SPOILER ALERT (in spoiler tag, I know))) Princess thinks that she is pregnant and wants to marry Shen Yu Rong, but Emperor grants her marriage with Li Xian. After some time she wants to pretend that it's Li Xian child, but because Li Xian is gay everybody in Li family understands that it's Shen Yu Rong's child. Eventually Princess will understand that Li Xian is gay and she'll think that he caused her "miscarriage".

It's essential for the plot if they're going with fake pregnancy line like it was in the novel.

I can't really call it a scene -- just clues about it, but you definitely understand what happened.

I really can't follow all Jiang girls names in english, because I read half of the novel in MTL(( But I think this Jiang Yu'e will have a story like 3rd Uncle's daughter. Also I really wanted to see Duke Su's robe with spider lilys, but it's just red on posters. But yeah, fingers crossed for the storyline!

I'm sad about it too. But I hope that Jiang Ruo Yu's identity will be like Jiang Li in the book, because the cast have Jiang Ruo Yu(main evil sister and daughter of Ji Shu Ran I suppose) and Jiang Yu'e(I think she will be a concubine daughter).
