Letting them send her away is okay, but not sending someone to check on her all this years? Even when Jiang Li is already home she never checks on her. I don't mean intervene, but like morning greetings rituals? It seems like they try to portrait her as loving but doing a poor job so far.

Every time I see them I almost can hear "canned laughter" like in sitcoms. I want some mature humour like, for example in "Love like the galaxy".

According to the book she should not be like this and it was more realistic. I mean if she likes her granddaughter so much why she waited 10 years without even sending someone to check on her? In a book grandmother does not particularly like nor hate FL, she see all her grandchildren as an assets.

The only thing I don't like about the drama it's so called "funny moments" with slow motions or really fast movements and a lot of exaggeration. It seems out of place especially when you compare them to atmosphere of first 2 episodes.

In the sword and the brocade the age gap is okay according to plot. ML even had 2 sons.
But I'm okay with age gap in this show. I was shocked to learn that actress who is playing Tong Er is only 15 years old and i can't see such difference between her and FL. When FL in smiling she looks really young.

Actually we are seeing a lot more of ML, than in the book. So they are trying!:)

It's the only way to make girl famous. I really can't think of any other solutions. Her stepmother will never take her to parties.

I think it'll be explained lately. A lot of power in the court belong to Princess's brother and his political wing (Li family). Even the empress dowager isn't Emperor's mother. He really lacks supporters.

A lot of support for each other and intense interactions but almost no kisses and sweet moments in the book.

For me she is more beautiful than FL. So the scene when they arrive at Jiang manor and Tong Er comes from the carriage first and people are gossiping about how bad she looks... Come on, totally fake.

Even in a book he suspects it's her and become obsessed with that idea. She played a song only Fanfei could play, she rescued Fanfei's father and so on. So I think with drama's plot he definitely know it's her.

They will not get married till the end of the book. And their love story is really slow burn, because she doesn't trust all men due to obvious reasons. In a book he will ask for Emperor's decree for marriage only to disturb another man intentions. And it'll be after all revenge goes through.

And no way Jiang Li would talk to him like that.But her words didn't affect him, so I hope it'll be a slow romance like in the book.
