I completely understand glad you enjoyed it, this was just definitely not my cup of tea. It was too slow for me. I really enjoy dramas that have a good balance of romance, action, and suspense. Which this one I think lacked that balance. I don’t personally enjoy slice of life type dramas I just get bored. So with this one mainly only foucusing on the relationship between the leads I found I did not like it. I think I am more just disappointed with what it could have been. Had a really great set up and I actually really enjoyed the first 10 episodes or so. Don’t get me wrong this drama is well made and the actors did a great job but again the focal point of the store wasn’t it. One of my all time favorite Xianxia is The Legend of Shen Li has everything I wanted and more. The fight scenes where so bad ass and had me on the edge of my seat, but it also had some of the cutest romance I have seen in a minute. I mainly think the reason I got bored of this one tho is because of how predictable everything was to me. I have been a big fat nerd all my life and have consumed so so many dramas, anime, and books. So basic store lines don’t really pique my interest anymore. I feel like 10 years ago I would have loved this though lol.

Imma start of by saying this is my opinion and to each there own when it comes to this drama. But holy sht I don’t understand the hype for this. The story line and plot points were god awful and lacked any suspense and mystery. Literally the synopsis gives away like half the ‘plot’. The cinematography and ost where the only redeeming qualities. Other than that I really didn’t enjoy anything else. Pretty much every character annoyed me, I don’t think it was the actors fault but the writing. I think the actors did a great job with what they were given. However, I had to drop at episode 30. There was no big mystery or plot point to keep me engaged. Everything was very predictable or otherwise literally just told to use. So it was so annoying to watch everyone try and piece together the puzzle when we already put it together. It was just a bunch of small arcs piled together which was also annoying. As far as the main leads I honestly really didn’t care about there story. The villains were just as bad if not worst, there reasoning for being evil was just f’in jealousy. That was it. Like you joking right, that is not realistic at all and it was pitiful af to watch. Especially that consort girl, hated her character so much. I saw someone say the only reason this is popular is because of all the kiss scenes in it and I honestly think that’s the case. Y’all just touch deprived I think because ain’t no way people actually enjoyed this for the story.😭 If you enjoyed this good for you but for me it is literally one of the worst historical fantasy cdramas I have watched.

holy sht just finished and let me just say, probably the best drama I have watch and is one of the only dramas I am completely sure is a 10/10 for me. So mf good😤last episode was pure gold and is an ending that should be the standard for drama endings. Most dramas only give you like a 5 min epilogue in the last episode. But these mf dedicated a whole last episode for us to see the leads be happy and cute af together. The ending we all f’ing deserved to witness 😎
