Incómoda, superficial y decepcionante Uncomfortable, superficial and disappointing
Tuve que dejar Crushology 101 justo en el momento en que tres hombres rodean a la protagonista para literalmente pelearse por ella. Esa escena fue el colmo. Parecían tontos, como si no tuvieran dignidad ni personalidad propia, solo existieran para ver quién se queda con ella. Aunque eran guapos, no pude soportarlo. Solo imaginar que esto pasara en la vida real me da rechazo. ¿Qué diablos estaban pensando los guionistas al escribir eso? ¿En serio creen que eso es atractivo o entretenido?Además, me molestó muchísimo cómo la serie constantemente pone el foco en la apariencia física. Cada vez que aparece un chico nuevo, las chicas lo rodean, lo acosan con comentarios como “¡qué guapo!”, y no lo dejan ni caminar. Eso no es gracioso, es incómodo. Cambien los géneros de esa escena y verán lo mal que se siente. No entiendo por qué se está normalizando ese comportamiento, y peor aún, romantizándolo.
Todo el tiempo se habla de quién es más guapo, quién es más popular, y se ignora por completo el valor personal, la inteligencia o la empatía. Me da rabia pensar que muchos adolescentes pueden ver esto y creer que está bien centrarse solo en el físico, o que ser deseado por varias personas a la vez es el mayor logro que uno puede tener.
Tenía esperanzas en esta historia, pero al final solo sentí frustración. Qué oportunidad tan desperdiciada.
I had to stop watching Crushology 101 right at the moment when three guys literally surrounded the female lead to fight over her. That scene was the last straw. They looked ridiculous, as if they had no dignity or personality of their own — just existing to win her over. Even if they were handsome, I couldn’t take it. Just imagining this happening in real life makes me uncomfortable. What on earth were the writers thinking? Do they really believe that’s attractive or entertaining?
What also bothered me a lot was how the series constantly focuses on physical appearance. Every time a new guy shows up, the girls swarm him, harass him with comments like “he’s so hot,” and don’t even let him walk. That’s not funny — it’s disturbing. Reverse the genders in those scenes and you’ll see how wrong it feels. I don’t understand why this behavior is being normalized, and worse, romanticized.
The whole show talks about who’s more handsome or popular, completely ignoring personal value, intelligence, or empathy. It makes me angry to think that teenagers might watch this and believe it’s okay to judge people only by their looks, or that being wanted by multiple people is the greatest achievement you can have.
I had hopes for this story, but all I felt in the end was frustration. What a wasted opportunity.
