Opposite for me actually I find cdramas with rating even above 8.5 mostly average but maybe because I'm not into historical stuff.

Not for me I guess everyone sees different reviewers on front page.

Fr it's really annoying to see any other romcom easily above 8.5 just for being a romcom and no other thing to offer while other Kdramas struggling to get 8 score after putting an incredible story.

That's getting more confusing. If he is physically transgender by birth then how did he get into army and if he is not then it means he has already done surgery to get chest.
I think it wold be something like predestination if you have watched it. In that too the character was in army and female at the start but later doctors tell him about the changes in his body and he becomes a man and story starts to get more and more messy.
