Bong su being a literal child feels so weird, and the ending was so rushed, but I still rated it high cause of…
uhm.. I mean isn't that’s the whole point of the conflict? him being a child died in a war, thus giving him a greed of wanting to survive, growing old, to be loved, and all that usual teenage boy behaviour, like being childish and naughty.

I don’t understand which part of it is weird

True, I also skipped the school friends part. I think the reason they even included that arc was because originally…
Yeah, HOH was originally planned as a 16 eps drama, but pd house cut it down to 12. The script went through major revisions right before filming, so it’s no surprise there are so many plotholes. that huina incident is one of the most noticeable plotholes, bcs they initially wanted to include it as part of gyeon u’s conflict, but for the duration sake, they had to wrap it pretty hastily

Am I the only one who feels like the friends crying or the closeness with FL school was weird....the only ppl…
True, I also skipped the school friends part. I think the reason they even included that arc was because originally there were supposed to be more school scenes, like a school trip and other events. But since they had to cut the episodes and focus more on the main conflict (Bongsu–Yeomhwa), they deleted those scenes, which ended up making their reunion feel awkward and out of place.

It seems like they initially wanted to build them as a friend group. But in the last episode, I couldn’t stop thinking, weren’t these the same people who used to bully Gyeon U and Seong Ah? And now suddenly they’re friends and all supportive? wtf, if I were Seong Ah I would be like no gurl, I’ll take my man and go.

On Head over Heels Jul 29, 2025
guys let’s just enjoy the final ep with an open mind, put your guns down, let’s be civil. now’s the time for a ceasefire.

then after this, let’s all agree the drama ended at ep 8 and the last 4 eps was just parody with a totally no contribution to the plot

I was team "OH MY GOWD this drama is sooooooooo good", now I have to go out and break something 😭😭.
Same girl, I almost lost all my sanity from watching this drama. It reminds me of Lovely Runner. They have a good premise but then decide to completely ruin it halfway through. Is that their thing now? I'm glad this drama didn't get 16 eps with this writing level. Imagine if it was like Lovely Runner and got 16 eps, we all could have gone and started rioting at the Pd house.

I thought I was the only one who didn’t get ep 11, but honestly? I gave up on the plot since ep 8 anyway, so…
and I hate studio dragon and whoever thought it was good idea to make this drama 12 eps instead of 16. They ruined completely fine story. Im so mad, I could have got both visuals and a perfect romcom storyline

I thought I was the only one who didn’t get ep 11, but honestly? I gave up on the plot since ep 8 anyway, so now I’m just here for the visuals. Seriously Choo Youngwoo is serving, that man is so hot I barely closed my mouth from the constant screaming everytime he appears on the screen.

Guys can someone tell me again what Yeomhwa's motive is for doing all of this? I know it's for her child, but what's she gonna do about it? Is she going to retrieve her child using Bongsu's power or just purely revenge? But to whom? to her spiritual mother? I dont get it. Plis englighten me, my brows have been furrowed since last ep bcs I couldn’t understand her motives at all.

Title Head over Heels Spoiler
everyone's just happily letting her wreak havoc and now dongcheon HAS DIED for her??? and even after that she…
Yeah, that’s exactly what’s been bugging me too. It even feels like they deliberately split the story into two parts. Part one up to ep 6 had Seong Ah and Gyeon U as the mc. But then, in part two, it’s like they switched the main focus to Yeomhwa and Bongsu. Gyeon U basically turned into a side character, like that one guy who dies in the first episode but keeps getting mentioned until the end of the drama.

He had no real significance to the plot anymore, aside from his body being taken over and Seong Ah still being obsessed with him.

Imo the drama is getting better each week. I like how it is getting more complex and still balancing different…
yeah getting better at ruining their own plots cause i dont understand the hell they’re trying to show us. Ep 10 is just full of crap with bunch of useless character, Yeomhwa could easily stopped with simple rope tied in both of her hands and 24/7 guards watching her. Yet they let her roam freely in the house full of shaman tools that she’d use ofc against them. Its like you capture a robber but let her know ur saving box password. The mother literally forget the so-called daugher of her has killed dozens of people for her mission, and still pity her, acting like she had grand plan to stop her while in actual fuck she just wants to use herself as shields, which complete the list of unnecessary plot with her death. Dont start me with Jiho.

I had high expectations for this drama. They started with a great concept, especially with all the detailed shamanism elements. But starting from episode 7, it completely lost its direction. Almost every character started making dumb decisions. I’m really disappointed, this was the first kdrama I genuinely wanted to finish after such a long drought.

But how could they do this to me? It honestly reminds me of some cdramas, they hook you with a few good early episodes, only to leave you frustrated towards the end.

Did the writer change halfway through? Or did the whole production team, including the actors, seriously think there was nothing wrong with the script when they read it? How could they not tell?

Great Aunt asked bong su what all did he do to be such evil . but till now bong su seems like a kid who suffered…
He ate 99 souls. To be precise, Yeomhwa fed him those souls so he could rise as her protection devil. Honestly, I think Bong Su is actually evil, he takes pleasure in seeing people suffer and doesn’t give a damn about whatever happening around him.

The only reasons he holds back are because he takes interest in Song Ah and because he needs Gyeon U’s body to function in the human world. He even made a deal with Gyeon U, in exchange for letting him use his body, he agreed to sign up for the archery competition. Not that he really wanted Gyeon U to win, he was just playing along because he needed that body.

As for the times he apologized, it was only because he was forced to. Gyeon U basically threatened him by playing that gun sound, which seriously traumatized him, most likely because it’s connected to how he died, and the whole reason why he ended up stuck as an evil ghost instead of moving on to the afterlife.

For me, Bong Su is a pretty interesting character. He clearly has a tendency to harm people which might explain why he became a deity but everything he does is for the sake of his own goal. He accepted Yeomhwa’s offer because she promised to free him from that haunted house, just like he agreed to Gyeon U’s deal to use his body.

At this point, there’s no doubt he’s become an evil ghost, judging by how often he wants to hurt people and the way he acts. But honestly, it feels like he enjoys being in this position and he definitely knows how to play his cards with Yeomhwa.
On Head over Heels Jul 14, 2025
I see some people are disappointed that Bongsu didn’t turn out the way they expected — instead of becoming a super malicious deity, he came off more like a mischievous ghost kid just having fun. They were probably hoping for something darker and more climactic, considering how long and steadily the “devil” plot had been built up. And honestly, I get where they’re coming from. I won’t deny that I also expected the devil to be more in line with how he’d been described all along.

But if you scroll up and check the genre tags on this drama’s profile, it’s clearly labeled as a rom-com and a coming-of-age story, the kind that’s supposed to be lighthearted, full of fluff, and high school puppy love. Sometimes, we set our expectations a bit too high for a genre like this.

why is he submissive towards that evil shaman
Trauma response, that evil shaman regardless of her shaman power has certain control over Gyeon U's life since he was a child and as a result corrupted his mind, made him develop some kind of dependency towards her. It’s similar to toxic relationships, people usually find it hard to let go of a person who knows their deepest secret or their weakness esp if they relate to or contribute to it.

Thing is why r we not shown who is Gyeon Wu's mother?A mother absolutely won't give up on her own child; if a…
Uhm, I’ll hold your hand when I say this—not every mom loves their child. I’ve seen worse. That’s why orphanages exist. Humans are complicated. They don’t act purely on instinct like animals do. Animals will protect their offspring without hesitation because of their natural instinct, but humans go through a whole mess of emotions and thoughts before they act. Every mother does have some level of instinct, but it can be twisted or blocked by fear, pressure, or even beliefs they’ve been fed.

In this case, Gyeon U’s mother, if we assume she’ll just stay as bg character (means she will not appear directly in the drama) maybe she was brainwashed by the family or the shamans into believing that her son brings bad luck and she needs to stay away from him. In a lot of rich families, kids are born more out of duty to produce an heir, so it could be another reason for the lack of emotion between Gyeon U and his mother.

Oh come one! Just when I think i love it, they pull these things…
My theory is that the bad energy from that house is pulling people in. I’ve seen other dramas that mention this too, the more people die in one place, the stronger the devil becomes, and it starts drawing in more victims. I think it’s super interesting, like you’re being hypnotized or lured there, almost like the devil is calling you directly.

I can't with this ML. He's such a pushover. His family and that bish shaman are being trash to him, but he just…
bro once in a while u need to have a realistic depiction of severe insecurity caused by constant abandonment and bullying type of ML. Not everyone is born to fight. It’s actually more realistic for someone like Gyeon U to turn out the way he did. If you had a childhood where everyone kept telling you that you’re bad luck and you’re going to die soon, and the only person you could rely on died early, and people even blamed you for her death, saying your bad luck killed her, there’s no way you’d grow up to be some confident, badass hero. Just having the will to stay alive is already an accomplishment.

Honestly I feel like he's Falling for a bit too fast and not so naturally in my opinion. Like for someone with…
I think you’re only seeing one side of how people with abandonment issues respond — like shutting themselves off and pushing people away because they’re scared of getting hurt. Yeah, that’s true for the ML at first, but it’s not just abandonment issues. There’s also a lot of insecurity and mistrust toward others that makes him act cold or harsh and defensive — mostly his insecurity. You can see that when he keeps telling SongAh and Jihi that he brings bad luck, like he knows he’s the problem and that people leave because of him.

But people with issues like that don’t always respond by isolating themselves. Some develop attachment issues instead — they get attached really easily to anyone who gives them the tiniest bit of care or attention.

In the ML’s case, it makes sense. He’s never really had anyone who genuinely cared about him except his grandma. So it’s not that he chooses to trust people too fast or that he’s naive, it’s more that he’s never experienced real affection before. So when someone actually treats him kindly, of course he reacts strongly and gets really happy. That’s normal, especially considering his age, he’s still a teenager, still figuring things out.
