OMG, i can't believe this will be adapted :0 loved the webtoon so much, one of the best thrillers I've read also, Jihoon is very suitable for the main role - certainly, he will do an outstanding job
i believe everyone has the right to have their own opinions, views and beliefs as long as nobody will be harmed…
sorry, I'm not a native speaker. I meant "hear it" not "hear this" (referring to the opinions/views/beliefs others have) - and I said it might hurt, not that it probably hurts o.o
If only this was the only issue with the drama....Lee Kyung Young, who plays the chairman, is a convicted criminal…
chill miya. i'm not here to attack anyone but to clarify that the romance between the ocs in the original manhwa is problematic. and I find it fetishizing too for sure because of the subtle romantic man-boy-relationship which is hidden under two pretty young faces with the justification that it's the teens, not the gangster and the teen. It's about the principle. Just imagine the man being way older and the boy being way younger. the man possesses the body of a boy that is the same age as the other main character. don't you find it fetishizing too? Just imagine it without the body swap. A responsible man would have distanced himself from the boy. I also nearly couldn't watch 18 again to the end because of the fact that the female lead is kissing a teenage boy. but the fact that there was a grown ass man inside the body of this teenage boy calmed me down a bit. Still, fl should have distanced herself more.

well, my comment wasn't about the general issues with this drama. I'm aware that they casted a rapist and believe me, this fact makes me angry too. But if you'll look through this comment section, most comments are about the removed bl romance, that I was referring to and that I personally find way too problematic/fetishizing, rather than the issues with Lee Kyung Young.
this page is a lot of fun, we read all sorts of things: “I'm heterosexual, can I watch it(this one must be in…
i believe everyone has the right to have their own opinions, views and beliefs as long as nobody will be harmed or directly affected, although it might hurt to hear it. Respect is essential and i don't think, prefering kdramas without bl in it is being disrespectful or harmful to others?
i did some research about the original manhwa and wanted to make sure that yall know that the romance is between a grown ass man and a highschooler? i don't care if its a highschool boy body, it's still the mind of a grown man. whats wrong with you to want this kind of romance to not be removed? am i a homophob now if this is what really bothers me? bruh. get a grip *even if it's between the teens, not the gangster and the teen, its about the principle. the man should have distanced himself from the boy, no matter what. turning the bl into bromance is, in my opinion, more suitable.
i agree with you but king the land was really boring
i dropped king the land after a few mostly skipped episodes, too. There were some exciting moments in the beginning but the following episodes were way too repetitive and plot-wise like any other cliche romcom... wanted to give it a go though bc of the male lead (loved him in the red sleeve) but didn't feel any chemistry between the main leads
