Well as far as I know original had it too I don't feel it is over the top I think she was just worried that sanha will not stay with her anymore and live with his original family and leave her well it's a natural reaction to stop someone close to you to go far away well her assumption did come true and haejun and sanha are going away so I found her reaction quite justified

This ! they are giving a different take to original keeping the main points but changing many things like the personalities of characters is quite different from the OG I'm loving it idk what is criticism is for just take them as different dramas it's a adaptation not a copy the people comparing are literally comparing every detail of the OG to this one of course not everything will be same they will add unique things to make it stand out they will make it different to make it viewed a bit different not everyone here has not watched the original and tbh 40 eps are too much many people have a limit of max 16 eps I think it's okay to compare but to compare constantly is just making it difficult for new viewers to watch it
