i started to watch go ahead too and now as I can compare myself I hate the fact that in this version sanha's dad…
Sanha dad seems more depressed to me idk whenever I see him I feel like he is suffering something bad but isn't really vocal about it and sanha mom is quite a bad person she might be toned down in og but it doesn't change the fact that she is a bad and irresponsible parent in both ver

This drama is literally fixing my ADHD it's the first drama this year that i watched without skipping any scene I know it has its flaws but for some reason it gives me such warm feels I don't watch drama on air and if I do I lose interest this is first drama that I literally count the days of the week for it to come

oh my! Park Dal so gorgeous on her short hair. I fell in love with her. She’s had a mature sophisticated look,…
Agree she was looking cute in long hair but I must say short hair suits her better she looks great in it

i can't speak for everyone of course but the reason why i, personelly, wasn't a fan of his confession is because…
Maybe in the next ep we will see the development to this I think we need to wait for next eps

There are three different osts I have been confusing them
One is beyond the sunrise
The second is wondering about love idk what is the title of the third one

I really don't understand the hate towards the confession scene it's not like he suddenly developed feelings for he loved her for so many years was hesitant to tell it as might ruin their current relationship with her he did confessed to her because she was obviously going to date someone first of all it's not like he didn't came in those 10 years deliberately he had to take care of his physically and mentally disabled mother who literally threatens him to kill herself to stop him from leaving and after so many years he finally got time to confess so he confessed before situation escalated even more so you guys would be more happy if he confessed after she started dating someone else like come on make sense he just confessed his feelings to her it's not like he is forcing her or something

Like exactly I have seen so many comments either bashing ju won or sanha or hae jun like you need to understand they have their circumstances they didn't have a normal childhood because of the trauma all three of them suffered I really hope people understand your personality and thinking changes when you suffer a trauma you try to avoid as much as you can so you dont suffer it again

I really think they are focusing on the romance part and it's not a bad thing and the makers did say from the start that this adaption is more on romance side not the other way around

He is literally in every other kdrama doing a support role or cameo I remember him from crazy love , abyss , the universe star, racket boys ,good partner and bad prosecutor

Mistake in Go Ahead is family bonding was too strong, it make us feel discomfort seeing romance between siblings.…
I agree with 9 and 10 being a bit rushed but I really hope they will try to compensate it by giving us some flashbacks of three of them what happened in the last 10 years I really hope so

I'm sorry hate me all you want but cdrama ver romance felt more cringey and forced to me just my opinion no hate…
You know they took 40 eps to do that you need to give leniency to this ver because it is 16 eps vs 40 eps given the episodes I think you need to consider it a different drama to enjoy it more the characters are changed their culture their personalities are different even their jobs in adult era is different I feel like if you watch it as a separate drama without expecting it to go to the og drama route you will enjoy it much more I still stand by it that I found the romance in og forced for some reason after their family bond as siblings was too strong it was hard to see them as lovers while here the writer did a good job distinguishing the relationship of ju won with haejun which is obviously siblings behavior and her relationship with sanha which is definitely not sibling behavior and that make it easy to accept their relationship as for emotional part idk I felt they are doing well this is the first drama in years I haven't skipped any scene they went for light-hearted ver of og and I'm loving it but I respect your opinion fully sorry for the long post

I'm sorry hate me all you want but cdrama ver romance felt more cringey and forced to me just my opinion no hate their family bond was amazing though it was hard to see them as lovers after their siblings bond was too strong as for here from the start you feel there was no sibling bond between sanha and ju won but there was more siblings bond between hae jun and ju won

My character analysis of the three main characters
Sanha: he is someone who is always made responsible of things that he does not want like the Blame of his sister's death on him and then the responsibility of his disabled mother I say not only physically but mentally disabled mother he is someone who is always made to sacrifice his happiness for others I think the only escape he got was in the form of ju won it's not like going to Seoul was his descion he was just trying to save himself from another trauma if her mother killed herself he did contact ju won daily messaged her daily he could've come to see her too but his mother literally throw tantrums and try to kill herself so how was he supposed to come I wonder how he spent his 10 years with such an mentally disabled person if I would've been in his place I would've gone mad years ago yet he is still holding on
Ju won : she has fear of being abandoned and left alone ever since she was young people around her kept making her realize that she has no mother no sibling she always smiled outside but inside she felt alone and she saw sanha and haejun she saw light in them her escape from this loneliness that was one the reasons that in the start she called them to sign the adoption paper so they will not abandon and leave her but her fear did come true and they left her and now she is pushing them away because she fears she will be abandon again
Haejun:the fear of being a burden and thrown away just like what her mother did to him when he was little he always fear he will become a burden to ju won's dad when ju won dad started to work more hard to send him to US he accepted his biological dad offer for Us so he won't be a burden to ju won dad he wanted stand on his own feet and take care of ju won and ju won dad but when he got injured quit basketball and quit uni he came back but he was quite scared to tell ju won dad as he thought he will be burden again so he served in military he just tried his best to avoid being a burden to anyone
Every character is broken in its own way the viewers needs to understand them

Agree people are after sanha not realizing he is someone who had suffered the most out of them ngl I would've gone mad if I would have been in his place a trauma is not a joke it changes a person completely

I guess they could have shown us more if it wouldn't be for less eps they need time to develop the romance part I guess

I don’t think with his situation he got time to date anybody
My cousin is becoming a doctor he literally sleeps there and barely have one day off I don't think with these circumstances you have time to date plus sanha has really great mother that doesn't shut her mouth even for a second and he was already committed to ju won in his mind as for ju won the writer could've shown her date but then again her not dating I don't see that a problem
On Family by Choice Nov 6, 2024
I'm seeing so many comments on sanha and I do agree with it a bit but then again his character is quite more complex than others it's difficult to understand he had a trauma because of his sister he had a trauma because of his mom blaming him about it and leaving him at his very low ju won was his light he grabbed on her then suddenly 10 years later he has to go and take care of the same mom who left him but he called ju won daily he tried to come back many times to ju won to fulfill his promise but his mother stopped him and finally after ten years he got to see her she is ignoring him that is totally understandable as he didn't fulfill his promise and I do understande where people are coming from that he is being cranky to haejun and other people but you need to understand that he is someone who suffered a trauma and has been living with the person who caused the trauma for the past 10 years won't you be frustrated and people saying his sudden confession doesn't make sense it's not sudden he has been holding it in for 10 years he had only one hope and light that kept him going and when he thought he will lose the light he confessed isn't it human response to keep holding onto the light to avoid the dark I agree he should give some space to ju won and I think we should wait for next ep maybe his character will develop

All of them look exactly the same, including both Ajusshi, after 10 years, are unrealistic.
I'm hopeful too
